Oberyn was fucking awesome. He was pretty much the character I was waiting to see most. I am pleased.

Arya and the Hound are adorable together.

That was such a good scene. Overall I was a big fan of everything in the episode except that they recast Dario...not so sure about the new guy yet. I like all the changes and streamlining they did as well. Super excited for the rest of this season :!!!:

Only worthwhile scene in the episode that was. That Hound's been one of my fave's once they developed him. He was kind of mindless stabby-stab guy at first.

I was wondering who that random dude was who thought he could just walk right up to Khaleesi...who seems cuntier? She's totes getting cunty.

yeah not a great episode in the canon of got
and sort of an unnatural break point as it's not a new book we're starting here iirc
obviously one of those plot building episodes, where nothing exciting happens, whatever

I enjoyed it. Arya becoming herself, the Hound and Jaime both becoming more likable. Nice to see more scenes with the other targaryans as well.

If they do it right it will be a while. If I were the shows producers I would be dragging my feet as much as possible, which could be good for us. JRRRRRRRRR weener needs to write more, they are going to run out of material. In the meantime, if it were on me, I would depict everything if not add to it.

Yeah - the season picks up just past half way in book three. They did their best to make it feel like a season premiere with establishing some of the plot points for this season, but there really wasn't much 'big' to work with other than the arrival of Oberon.

YES! That was such a cool scene in the book. It's hard to tell how far away it actually is since I'm assuming they will cover a small amount of books 4/5 in this season, then will substantially cut down and combine the rest of book four and five for the next two seasons (he said as though he had any idea how to make a show). I'd guess the end of season five or start of season six depending on how they prioritize Arya's storyline.

Fuck yes Oberon/Mountain battle. The end was so fucking brutal in the book. Oberon was cast extremely well indeed.
I think that sword was called Joffery the Insufferable Little Cunt :lol:
That kid definitely has some acting chops though. I have never acted, but figure it takes a lot of talent to get people to almost universally hate a character all the time.
