fuckin titties
that proves it right there
F-U-C-k a vibramate
that looks so clean and unclumsy

so the wigsby has some issues
like not going back to tune BOTH WAYS
meaning not enough spring tension
but also not enough string tension
istill have some adjusting to try
the good thing is it stays in tune with itself
so its like a mechanical pitch shifter
from d standard i can drop to c standartd
or pull up to d# standard
so im ok with it
and im sure theres something im missing
theres reasons why you never see them
and they are discontinued

This is what happens when you lean your SG against your amp so you can get up and take the screeching tea kettle off the stove, get your foot tangled in your coily cable, and shatter your dreams.

that sucks, but it loos to have broken in the best possible way as far as a repair is concerned. make sure you have any small bits of wood that may have splintered off and take it to a luthier if you are not comfortable with diy. might even be able to paint match and make it a seamless repair

Fortunately I am a luthier, and it's back together now. It actually stays in tune better than before the break. Cosmetically it's not so nice, and unfortunately this is an SG special from 2001 with the briefly offered teal/blue/green color shifting paint, and that stuff isn't cheap. I may be able to get close enough with some ice blue metallic or pelham blue and some tinted clear over it. Or I might just refinish it. It'd be nice to go in and fill in some of the oversized routing so I could put a regular small pick guard on it.

I don't know if it's the image quality but that looks pretty similar to a very aged Pelham Blue (which i lurvvvv). Could probably get pretty close with a pelham base and yellow tinted clear.

I have an ltd al600 (viper body shape). I replaced the EMGs with Gibson p94s, and I have some block inlay decals coming soon to cover up the ugly spade inlays it has. I'll post up a new pic when I get those on

The image quality isn't helping things, but from certain angles and in certain light, it does look very much like an aged Pelham Blue. In other light and from other angles, it can look like a fairly fresh Pelham Blue, then it can look a little bit like Ocean Turquoise, and every shade in between. I'll most likely try to match it with some Pelham, and if it doesn't look good enough, just refinish the whole thing in aged Pelham.

Here's my most recent. 70s tribute. Duncan antiquities. Bigsby. 500k Cts. For cosmetic issues, I'm looking at a new truss rod cover and different knobs. Overall, this is the best playing and sounding sg I've played.
Beauty!

Here's mine. Re-issue Jr with added short vibrola. This thing loves fuzz!

^ That reissue is nice. Looks pretty damn close to my 67 Jr. I think I've posted this before but maybe not since I threw the MojoAxe bridge on there (compensated for an unwound G).
Long story short: got it in 94 with no vibrola arm, had a BadAss wraparound on it for many years and threw a vibrola back on last year.

Dat Jr!!!

also I'm going to un-mod my burny… the bigsby and it's being intone don't jive well [I'd need to upgrade the bridge, nut and tuners to get it to work the way I want] so I'm putting the bigsby on my mockingbird.
