Kraken Black Rum

Is amazing.

I found a store near a friend's place down by Providence that sells 1.75 litre bottles for $22. That's cheaper than what they sell the small bottles for in Boston.

Try it with a slice of orange. I like it better than the lime.

Hell yeeeeeeeah to Kraken + Ginger Beer. One of my favorites.
Although I buy Goya cuz it's way cheap.

The main problem with kraken is that it's spiced.

Does Kraken have a strong alcohol-y flavor?
I mean, can you drink it as-is without being overwhelmed by "yep, that's alcohol, all right"?

My opinion: It's definitely a warming kind of alcohol, that pleasant burn, but it's not too harsh in the alcohol taste. Maybe a bit harsh in the spice, but that's why it's good.

I thought Kraken was a bit too sweet.
But, generally, rum is a bargain Lots of really good stuff under $30.

Kraken is definitely pretty good for the price
I'd still prefer the Goslings in my Dark & Stormies
Curious about trying one with a slice of orange now though
