Post Your Rig: Doom Edition

I remember that setup at that crazy house show. I stood in front of one of those stacks of 15s, and I had to step around the corner to catch my breath. Good stuff.

I need a rig that does this,

2x Acoustic 370s and 4 2x15s did it. If I remember, that was the show where someone showed up and said terminator could be heard 2 blocks away.

I played a Gypsy Joker party once in a little town in washington off in the woods and they had a massive sound system just blasting.

At the end of the show a guy walked up to me and said Hey im the neighbor and i loved your music, i just want to shake your hand. I asked him where he lived and he said:

I'm a sucker for an Orange that's not orange and sparkly guitars.

It's weird, because prior to this I have never really been a fan of white amps OR sparkly guitars. Now, tho, I want ALL the sparkly guitars. I hate Les Pauls and I almost bought one recently because it was silver sparkle.

My sparkly green Scheter Tele has me feeling the same way. I want my shit flaked out like a car.

Is that white wash or actual paint? At first I thought it was tolex that was white either way I dig it. Usually I don't like the look of Orange heads that aren't Orange.. but that white just worked for me for some reason.

Yeah man, Orange did some white tolex stuff a few years back, and they're doing it again this year.

Ive been eyeing a Switchmaster combo for awhile now, never played one though.

john plays through two of them
theyre loud as fuck
not sure youll get that rumbling low end though
like anything else thats cheap
grab it, and sell it if it sucks

and i think you were eyin the 612s on ebay
that empty one is $250, and full one $500?
and they been on there for a couple years
i got an all original one local
with 6 working original speakers
for alot less than that
i was playin through a lil fender mustang for too long
but i waited a bit and my rig exploded
its real easy to spend too much lookin at old stuff
its all fucking imaginary numbers

Thanks for the info on the Switchmaster, its kinda funny how little ive found out about older Randalls. In fact i just bought an old catalog of ebay just so i can find some info on old randalls

Bought my guitarists Windsor halfstack for $300, because he got an orang CR120, which sounds as awesome as their tube amps by the way. Ive been loving this valve junior I bought last week for the bedroom DOOMz, especially that EL84 crunch, thought why not get more of them. Went from a 5 watt tube amp to a 100 watt one in a week. Yeah. Actually sounds great for bass to, like a Ric through a marshall esk grind. I've opened a new black hole in GAS. Again DEM TUBEZZZZZZZZZZZ

Lol I've Figured out that Gas is eternal. Id love to get my hands on a Vulcan personally and I didn't even know they existed 2 months ago

There's a guy selling a Windsor locally for $200. I keep thinking of offering him like $160 just to have it. I definitely have no need of it.

If you want more clean headroom look into some preamp tube swaps. 12au7 and 12at7 in slot 1&2 respectively will tame some of the gain, at least, that's what I was reading as I was considering picking one of these up cheap.
