I think they look like Sunn amps.

Now here is something amazingly annoying:

http://hattiesburg.craigslist.org/msg/4380568214.html

that's an hour away... so I call in the morning... leave a message. no response. text at noon..... no response. call again at 5... no answer.

I don't even mind if it was sold or not, but any sort of a response... even a 'fuck off' would be nice.

Posted 9 days ago. I'm willing to bet at that price, those are long gone and the guy who posted them is a cunt that doesn't delete his posts after his items sell.

I figured that but with the first craigslist ad I actually responded to and bought was the exact same thing but for 200 or best offer and it had been up for a month. Around here honestly Sunn isn't all that collected. I found one of my Concert Leads in a pawn shop here for 250. Around here everyone wants Marshal, Crate, Peavey, or Line 6.

I once tried to buy an amp off craigslist. I think it was a 6505 combo at a fair price. I emailed the guy and said I could meet him the next day (I think that would have been a Thursday) and he said he was busy that day and couldn't meet until Friday. So Friday I email him to schedule a meeting and he said the amp sold.

Okay, so how the hell did he sell the amp if he couldn't meet with people on Thursday? What a jerk.

I've had some successful transactions on craigslist but most have failed. I think for some reason craigslist attracts morons. I prefer buying used gear at Guitar Center where okay, maybe they charge a little more and I gotta pay sales tax too, but I can walk in the store, pay and walk out with it, no BS.

I kinda like the bs. It makes it seem so much more worth it when you nab it.

I rarely use it cause nothing never shows up here. I normally get most my gear off ebay and there used to be a good music store here but it closed down.

I like the mall on Christmas Eve, you can taste the desperation and despair. It's soooooo much fun to people watch in that last week. Of course, I would rather kill myself than actually have to purchase something that week - but I fucking love going with friends who wait until the last second to get their holiday shit together

I had a lead on a modern player tele for $150. Told the guy, "Hey, let's meet on Friday."
He said, "I'm not available."
"Great, does Saturday work?"
"Yes."
"I'll contact you in the morning."

--am text message--
Hey, what time can I come by to pick up that Tele?

--response--
sold.

Two hours later I'm perusing the Used Guitar Center website.
MOTHER FUCKER SOLD IT TO THEM.

Sold it to a bunch of blood suckers who maybe gave him what I would have given him. And then sold it for $250.

Idiot fuckers.

It's like why even bother listing it and putting someone on the line who actually wants it and is willing to work with them. Annoying as all hell.

here in the PNW I've had a ton of decent transactions on Clist. I'd say 75% succesfull. Buying and selling. Sure there are flakes, but it has been largely worthwhile.
