I'm not going to lie, Chancellor's tone is a biggie for me, but I think Greg Edward's tone on the Failure albums is just as fucking juicy, and that's what really convinced me that it's all about the Wal, and not necessarily about JC's rig or Tool's mixing or whatever. It's just a mean-sounding bass.
