Personally I don't think it's amazing with the Goatkeeper, it works but it's not as extreme as the Cosmichorus V3, that said, the ramp function on the pedal itself sounds quite subtle to me as well (even when controlling multiple parameters at the same time), I want to put some more time in to be sure but for now I'd say if you're mainly after a chorus /vibrato that's controllable with the Goatkeeper I'd go with the Cosmichorus V3.
I prefer the Warped Vinyl because the chorus / doubling oscillator sounds are to me on par with the Cosmichorus V3, the vibrato on there is much more the way I like it and you also have the square wave and the presets.

Hey Tristan, I am a little concerned there might be something wrong with your pedal, or the settings may not be in the right spot to get the most out of the ramp functionality.

So I have a question...

Do you have the "sweep" dip on set for "bottom" or "top" ? If you have it set for "bottom" with the "bounce" dip engaged (to enable parameter modulation) ... the parameter sweep happens between the knob position and the maximum counter-clockwise position of the knob. Let's use volume as an example. If you have the volume knob position set at the maximum counter-clockwise position, nothing will happen... because you are effectively ramping between the maximum counter-clockwise position of no volume and the volume knob position (which is also no volume).... now if you were to turn the volume knob all the way clockwise... then you will have the full sweep of the entire knob range. Anyway... let me know if that is revelatory or if you are still having issues. You should be able to get really extreme sounds with the ramp functionality... it should be able to be extremely wacky.

As an example, you have the "sweep" dip set to "bottom" and you are modulating.... say.... rpm.... but the rpm knob is set somewhere like noon.... it's never going to get really wacky because the position of the rpm knob is limiting it go super fast.... in this case you'd may want to change the "sweep" dip to "top" or just set the rpm knob to the maximum clockwise position. If you are not able to achieve similar wackiness doing the same thing as this guy, then we need to talk because there is something wrong with your specific pedal.

EDIT: I'm reading this back and I think I'm doing a bad job of explaining it. Simply put.... whether you are controlling the parameter with ramp OR expression OR cv (like on the goat keeper) ... *you* get to decide what the range is... if you want the goat-keeper to be able to sweep the full range... and you have the "sweep" dip in the bottom position... you have to make sure that the knob position for the parameter you are trying to control is in the maximum clockwise position. Glen's example in the previous page is consistent with this because he instructed to have the volume knob in the maximum clockwise position.... thus the full sweep is attained.

Funny you guys started talking about noise.
A buddy of mine just tried it out and it was kinda unbearable dropped into his setup (weird enough he uses a GigRig Pro 14 and all the good stuff) but I don't hear it that much in my setup really and my buddy and I haven't really tried all the spots of his signal chain.
It seemed better when we tried it in another spot but the noise was still a bit steep though overall I don't think it's a noisy pedal.

Just curious, where there other pedals on? This might go without saying, but I think the best place for it in a chain is after dirt, but before delay/reverb.... if you have dirt after it, one side effect, among, any noise will get amplified. Then again, if you have a super high gain amp setting dialed in... it's going to do the same thing... so maybe that was it?

I tried the things out you said and I tried to match the settings on the video's, I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with my Warped Vinyl.
The thing is, I'm trying to avoid these overly seasick type of sounds as that's not really my cup of tea so to get an intense effect out of the pedal without it going to seasick mode with the Goatkeeper was quite a challenge for me.
However I tried some more things today and it is possible if I only modulate one or two parameters at the same time and keep the controls a bit higher than I'd usually set them.
I like to keep the RPM and Depth around 2/3 max but going to 3/4 gave better results with external control, probably because the sweep doesn't stay too long in the max position anyway.
There's some great sounds to be had when you combine the Warped Vinyl with the Goatkeeper so people can ignore my previous post, I still do think it's not as instantly awesome and plug and play as the pairing with the Cosmichorus V3 though, which is kind of what I tried to say.
The strange thing is, I find the Warped Vinyl to sound more subtle the more parameters you try to modulate at the same time, especially in combination with the Goatkeeper.
Another thing I meant when I mentioned it being subtle is that the effect of the ModuShape Engine can also be quite subtle if you keep the depth and/or the mix around 1/2.

I think it was after dirt and the amp was a Swart AST Pro not even running halfway up, no high gain, even without any other pedals engaged it was very noisy and my friend is using Fender Noiseless single coil pickups, then when we dropped it some other place in his signal chain it was a bit better but still quite noisy, it was pretty weird.
Maybe it was just a power thing I guess?
He's using this GigRig stuff and I think the output we used was even an isolated one which should have enough juice as well but I'm not completely sure.
I agree on putting the Warped Vinyl after dirt, it sounds much better, some chorus / vibrato pedals (for instance the Small Clone) sound better to me pre dirt, some sound good either way but the Warped Vinyl sounded much better after dirt in my opinion.
Like I said, I tried it in different situations with different people, pedals, boards, amps, guitars and overall I don't find it to be a noisy pedal, especially not considering it's analog.

Very cool man, sounds like we are on the same page I'm totally with you on keeping things from getting too wacky, I use the pedal a lot, but really not to much for extreme wackiness... I find if the pitch bending exceeds a semitone it starts getting the seasick vibe which, when used out of context, can be.... interesting I'll say

The only other thing I'd suggest (when modulating/controlling multiple parameters simultaneously) is that you may want to play with the "rise" and "fall" dips... (this changes it so some parameters are rising while others are falling which can make things more interesting)........ one comment on the possible subtlety when modulating multiple parameters.... if you are modulating "depth" for example.... it's of course always going to get subtle some of the time because in the bottom sweep is going to pass down to zero depth... so for those instances it's going to sound like nothing is going on.

And it's totally coming through that you love Warped Vinyl, but even if you (or anybody) weren't, of course, that's completely OK. At the end of the day, it's a fucking weird pedal I often think I should sit back and not post on these forums as much, because if someone doesn't like the pedal for whatever reason... I totally understand and appreciate that and don't want them to think 'chaseblissaudio' is going to try and convince them that they do in fact like it. Nothing sucks more than -- we are all searching for those tones that work best for us individually. At the same time, if I feel like there's an instance where I think (due to the pedal's complexity / learning curve with some functionality) that it might be helpful if I explain something a little more in depth I think it's probably a useful thing to do. I'm of course not talking about you... but just in general terms as to how I'm trying to approach forums because I lurk the shit out of the Warped Vinyl threads... it's how I start my day, with a cup of coffee and see if there is any chatter going on about Warped Vinyl. It's pretty sick, actually.

I guess you're just very enthusiastic about the Warped Vinyl, curious about how people are using it and what they think, which is a good thing in my book.
Yeah, like I said I'm still getting my head around it really, it doesn't always do what I expect when I'm using the dip switches which makes it a complex thing but hey that's only just part of the fun, I'll definitely try different rise and fall settings as well.
I think the Warped Vinyl works great with an expression pedal and I still need to hook up my Expressionator so I can set the minimum start point which will probably give me even more control in the range I like to use the pedal in.
