Hi,
I'm from Cleveland, Ohio. Long time lurker, recently joined. Play guitar in an acoustic folk band called Nora's Good Eye but I am a fuzz addict. So this looks like the right place for me.
At home I play garagey psychedelic rockz, which doesn't really translate to acoustic well.

Hey. Neww guy. My band has been going through a rocky period, but we usually play loud shoegazey indie pop. With some band members moving, we may be moving towards 90s math rock. But you know

Hey, I'm Sean. I came wandering from the land of TGP tired of hearing bout the KLON beast and other dickery. I play in 3 bands that have the same members hip hop (backing up Rellik), soul/rnb (backing up various lovely lady singers), and garage/psychedelic rock (the originals... aka my babies).

Hey guys!
Been lurking for a while, learned a lot about pedals just by reading the threads on here so I decided to join and participate. I'm a drummer and audio engineer, but I love electric guitar and all of the crazy awesome sounds you can make with it. Been writing some instrumental ambient rock music that I hope to release soon!

Hello fuzzheads!
Time to step up. I've started on here just reading and learning a lot.
Then I discoverd the BST section and did some shopping ... great pedals all around. I especially like everthing "homemade", there are so many great builders around here. A big thumbs up to all you soldering pedal wizards, keep 'em coming!
I play bass in a band, well "band" might not be the right word, it's actually a "duo", just the guitard and myself. But we both have lots of pedals, loopers and some funny noise boxes to throw in.

Hey all! Discovered this forum through talkbass. Sort of. I found Dirge Electronics through talkbass and ILF through his site. Anyways, I do love fuzz, so I thought I would do so in an official fashion.
I am a bassist who just recently started getting serious about effects. Mostly out of necessity, as I was having no luck finding a guitar player who wanted to play the kind of music I did. So I bought a big muff and started fuzzing it up, planning on being a drum bass duo. I have stepped up my effects game a bit since then and am always looking for my next pedal. I have a GP now, but I don't know if it will last, so I'm always on the hunt for ways to fill out my sound and make it super huge. I have a bit of an octaver fetish, though I have yet to actually own one.
I play noisy discordant post-punk/hardcore/blahblah but have an equal love for the less abrasive side of things too. I look forward to fueling my GAS fire and many riveting discussions.

Hey guys, Sean here. I go by the same handle over at Shortscale.org, BYOC, and a few other sites. I also am a worshiper of all things fuzzy and doom laden. Thanks for the add to the site. :-)

Hello hello. Lets see, I bought my first fuzz pedal in '94...a DOD and I hated it because it didn't sound like Anthrax's guitars. Labored for years under the delusion that I might be punk. That didn't work out. My soul was saved by death/thrash/grind. Heard Dillinger Escape Plan. Labored for years under the delusion that I could play guitar. Played for quite a few years with a group called Hero Destroyed. That fizzled out eventually because of jobs, kids, etc. Since then I regrouped, got a p bass and a rig and started playing with a couple dudes. Low and slow. Rats and Super Fuzz clones. Now I'm addicted to fuzz so here I am.

Hello I've been lurking here the last couple weeks, figured I might as well join in the fun. I I saw the doom room from harmony central was moved over here, when I went back there after a year or so of not being on the board. I was looking up some doom/stoner rock and I was brought to I love fuzz.
Musicly, I like helmet, the birthday party, and sleep to name a few
for gear I have a gibson les paul custom, fender 57 reissue stat, dual rectifier, mesa 4x12, marshall 4x12, mostly boss effects at the moment, a fuzz factory, frantone peach fuzz, and a squier p-bass.

Hey there. This is Mike, Just joined in a few days ago, by following a link on some pedal gear about the band UFOMAMMUT. Low and behold, it appears this would be a site that I could dig into. I started using a fuzz pedal back in 2000 [BigMuff]. Took a three year hiatus starting in 07' - needed a change in direction. Not to mention, music environment just ended up stale. After those three years traveling the country, I discovered my musical passion once again. Came back home and went ballistic. Snagged up a whole new line of gear, and now it seems like it's never gonna end. Lol
My newest fuzz/distortion pedals is a Silicone Oxfuzz and a Rat [GC special]. I'm actually surprised how much I like the Rat compared to the Oxfuzz. Don't get me wrong I love the Oxfuzz, but at times I've had trouble with tone fluctuation and I blamed it on the pedal. But I believe I've figured out that problem now. What really has me excited is a ever so slight mix of the MXR 10 band eq that's boosting the Rat. I haven't boosted the Oxfuzz...yet. Regardless, the MxR just adds more dimension, period. It can only get better from here.
Current rig is OR120 pix, PPC 412, PPC 412 HP, Peavey Valve King 100, 10' Gibson SG Vintage Cherry w BKP pups and growing number of pedals and rack gear.
I'm very curious and interested in everybody else's taste in gear and perspectives as I am looking to expand on my own. So I'm sure I'll be doing a lot of reading.

Sup. I've been lurking around for a while and decided to join in. I'm from Finland. I play bass in a few bands, mostly of the slower and heavier variant, and dabble in analog synthesis. I also have constant GAS for new pedals.
