It's upsetting that anyone could hate someone based on a group they happen to be a part of be it race, gender, religion, sexuality. I just dont get why people feel the need to hate others.

Well, I get hating people for being assholes on an individual basis.

Something Awful had lots of varied music threads that were mostly worth it to look through. The Doom/Stoner discussion was incredibly well curated, AFAIK.

This 100%. I still post on r/guitarpedals every now and then to talk and give advice on gear, but its nowhere near ILF quality.

Typically though, I find the best way to experience Reddit is to sub to what you like, unsub from the defaults and not be a pretentious twat about things. That last one is what really bugs me about Reddit sometimes. That elitist attitude.

Thats what I was expecting. Here and the yo tubz have pretty much every inkling of guitar pedal news there is haha (+ a few other sites too I guess)
But ILF, man that is the COMMUNITY
