Just got a call for a 6 month check up on my bone marrow donation. So the guy I donated marrow to died. I feel so sad now. I just wanted to help someone, and maybe I prolonged his life, but it doesn't feel like enough to me. My heart is aching and I feel like curling up in a ball and crying. I didn't know anything about the man other than I wanted to save his life. I thought for sure I would, but I must be naive. Sorry if this brings anyone down. I just needed to talk about this.

Seriously, man. That's some heavy shit and it's more than reasonable to feel like you let him down somehow but you didn't. What you did do was give him a chance and that is more than some people ever have! You know -- being "naive" (as you put it ) might be the only reason that some things ever happen. Thanks guys! I was just so hopeful. It sucks. I knew he probably wouldn't make it, but I was praying. The good thing is I'm still on the donor list and could do it again.

Oh a happier note, I've been etching some powder coated enclosures. HOLY SMOKES. This is the coolest shit I've ever done. This machine...fuck. LOL. It's capable of sooooooo much.
