I' m not super comfortable with bitching the guy out on the internet... He is actually seems like quite a reputable guy. Hopefully this is just an anomaly. Hell, in September he offered me a nice discount and told me it would be done in December...

As a hobby/builder it's painful for me to make stuff for peeps sometimes. Mainly because I work freelance and real work is all at once or not, so it's hard to balance sometimes. I usually warn people about a wait time and it usually extends beyond that. Luckily, everyone's been so gracious about the wait. It would be a dream to to this full time. I have had several builds that have taken me over 2 months to finish. I hate that it takes so long.

So what's the discount since it wasn't?

I've been in that boat a couple times and it fucking sucks. I get it that things are still up in the air so you don't want to trash talk. Good on you! :thumb:

After what I went through I will gladly tell the whole internet to NEVER GIVE MONEY TO THIS1SMYNE. The other guy is out of business because he couldn't handle his orders and flaked a bunch of times so it doesn't matter.

:hello:

Haha... you guys.

I've been waiting over 5 years for these. Though, we kind of made a special arrangement so no way that happens to his normal customers (I think the wait is 3 years for a normal instrument).

about to place a order ona custom bass vi myself and hit the que lines. i tend to wait pretty good for my instruments, the build up makes it more awesome, plus my builder usually only takes 2-3 months so its not like im waiting like some of yall, a year to 3 years would be ruff, id still wait patiently but i think i would get stir crazyyyyy. imagining the finished beast in my hand every night. sigh.

But your work is so worth the wait.

And folks, top notch communication, amazing craftsmanship, and a willingness to rework the design. I love buying stuff from people who care about what they do.

But that's the thing, you're upfront about where you are coming from.

That's the important thing, as long as people are honest and I know what I'm getting into I don't mind waiting.

Yeah after building here the past few years I've only come across a few pedals (single digits, maybe 4-5ish?) that have caught me up and taken longer than expected. Luckily all of you rule and are completely understanding
