Thinking of putting my baja Tele up for trade. Anyone got an SG they want to trade me?

   That pair looks fucking nice together!!!! Love the whole wall shot!!!

Serious question for you and Tony: There's a GK 4412H (V baffle 4x12 + front facing 2x10) at the local used gear shop and I believe its the same as the one Tony uses, whats your guys thought in that cab VS a regular fridge?

If you want the snare to have a lil more body and pop out a lil duplicate the track and put distortion on it, like maxxed out old school DOD pedal distortion with an EQ bump around 4-500, scooped around a thousand, hpf at like 250hz and lpf at probably 1500-2000 (the LPF varies depending on how the snare sits in the mix, id move it around till it sounds right), and then mix it in under the regular snare track like you did the super compressed mix buss. :thumb:

You gotta anything to post yet?
Just the soundcloud clip I posted up. Here it is in case you missed it.

Gonna record guitars today I get to try this NAD out.

Image

I played with it for about 15 minutes and so far it sounds pretty good but I thought it would be a lot louder for a 140 watt amp. I had it on around 7 and it seemed pretty tame. I bumped it up to halfway between 7 and 8 and HOLY FUCKING VOLUME JUMP. This thing is pretty damn loud. I didn't like the clean channel so much with the stock JJs in it so I put a 12ay7 in v1 it sounds 10 times better. Takes pedals a lot better now. Got a 12au7 coming so I'm gonna see how that is in there too. Channel 2 is pretty nice. Lower gain tones sounded like the beginning of "Blood and Thunder" so I got stuck playing that song for a minute. Rolling up the gain on it and it sounded like shit off of Remission for sure. Pretty Marshally sounding so I don't miss my 2204 as much now.

AxAxSxS, that rig pic makes me all tingly inside. I want to stand in front of it while you drone on the lowest note you can for a minute.
I must have missed it but it sounds great!!!! I might suggest trying to pull some of the upper mids out of the kick as it sounds a bit hollow at the moment, but it really depends on the kick sound your going for. The snare sound is delicious and the overheads sound great as well. Love the guitar tone as well, overall great job!

SWEET SCORE on the amp bro!!! Glad to hear you like it! My AD200B was similar in its volume taper, 0-4 was negligible 4-7 was smooth and then 8-10 was like holy batballs robinman!

Holy crap, conk that is like the most porno looking rig-shot ever.
Also, Axman, that Lao wiz plate looks killer installed. :thumb:
So, I got that proguitarshop 20% of pedal voucher and thought, "I wonder if they'll be discounting those cheap moog pedals....I could get a delay!"
Nuh.
Out of stock.
What's the bet they'll be magically back in stock on Monday when the voucher expires?

Going to Chicago in March. Looks like we're getting there just after Indian leaves for tour in Europe so I probably won't have an opportunity to geek out with Humancertainty :(

Looking for beer bars, restaurants, record stores, guitar stores, etc. And places to go in general! Going to Kumas and The Chicago Diner, probably Local Option, Hopleaf, and a couple others. And stopping by Three Floyds on our way in/out. But anyone got suggestions?

I'm kind of ridiculously stoked to check out the Dunwich tourbox tomorrow with Tony and AxJohn. Just had to go pick up a guitar and make sure I can still play at least a little bit.

Picking up a 1x15 tomorrow. Excited to have something to pair with my 212. Only downside is they are different impedance. 212 can be wired to 4 ohms or 16 ohms, while the 115 is a single 8 ohm. I can either run the two together at 5.33 ohms with my amp set to 4 ohms, or I can trade/sell the speakers in one of the two cabs. I've had my EVM-12L's for a while, and though they sound nice, I've always wanted to look for some real vintage Fanes. Specially since I'm playing my Sound City through it. Also, the 1x15 is loaded with a Weber Michigan, which is modeled after old EV SRO speakers. So that should take care of my clean, balanced, and un-flavored sound, while the 2x12 can be loaded with something to add some mids and character. Eh, we'll see. Will post pics tomorrow.

Hells yeah, I think we're going to have around 10 people at one point or another. Not a secret at all, although it was kinda by invite. We'll be recording, I just need some way of doing video. This should be some mad fun. Mike has said he'll bring his dunwich, Ian from Special guests is bringing a V4, all my amps will be available, going to be some fucking awesome musicians at the house tomorow to try them all out. :thumb:
I should ask D to bring his Soldano, I dunno lol, lots of sonic ground will be covered. I may set up some amps/cabs in the living room to accommodate everyone.

Skip, to clarify on the 4412H tony does not use it. I use it as part of my guitar rig which I think pisses tony off every time I plug a bass into my setup and it sounds better  He is using an ampeg 8x10 and a sunn 2x15. He has asked to use it before and I think I went all Gollum on him.

Two things.
Did anyone notice on the commercial for the RX drug Crestor, there is an Orange amp and cab in the living room?

well I guess this commercial has been out for a while. I'm probably late to the party. I love how he's talking like a teenage girl

Thank you to whoever posted that the newest Indian tracks were up. Since then all I've done was jam Guilty and then now From all purity. Easily the best new band I've found in a while. I love feel of the tracks. The weight of their style. i love it. I know some of these guys are around here, i dig it. I needed a new band. I'll admit, allot off the band's y'all really like fly right over my head, my ear is very narrow. This my friends was a bullseye.
