some thoughts:
--you want to be careful where you place the 24 if you're using a daisy chain. when i had it in one spot it picked up clock noise from all the rest of the modulation in the chain after it. a buffered pedal may help...the problem disappeared when i put the 24 ahead of the RV-3 with the other mods after. an isolated supply would be best. if you have trouble, experiment.
--you need an expression pedal to get the most out of the second knob, because you have finer control over the settings and can also sweep at will for tape-in-knots-around-the-capstan fun.
--when my 24 first got here, the blend knob cut out the dry signal almost immediately when turned off the right-hand stop. there's a little trimpot on that end of the circuit board which i used to balance the wet/dry more effectively.
--if you find the processed signal too white-noisy, try running it through a filter or modulation pedal that will knock some of the top end off., or through that pedal you don't think is bright enough.

Yes the trim pot can adjust the input gain to the effect, which should only change the 'wet' level in the output mix. I calibrated them to taste using my guitar, but the pickup is maybe a bit hotter than most (dimarzio X2N). Also i did it with the feedback relatively low. When there is a lot of feedback the wet signal becomes somewhat louder, because the repeats are layered on top, and the mix might not be a perfect blend of clean/wet at 12 o clock. In general i suggest to use your ears to find the right mix for wahtever your doing instead of thinking that a nice 50/50 will always be right in the middle.
Also just out of interest can you tell me what modlation pedals you had issues wih so maybe i can run some tests?

Seppuku Mind Warp and TC Phaser XII for certain; i think it was also picking up the LFO on the Copilot Tap Gyroscope, but i can't recall for sure.

Re: new montreal assembly! goodbye 24...
Finally I got it in!
(the customs grabbed it so I had to wait longer and pay extra handling fees and shit)
First impression, wow, I love it!
Especially with the buffer on reverse playback, longer time and high feedback settings it just adds a beautifully twisted ambient texture to whatever you play.
I'm very happy I got in on the second edition because I really like the longer time settings.
In my experience so far the time settings aren't that crucial tempo wise because with the right mix settings it can be just a layer under the surface that interacts with what you play, it's amazing.
It's also not really like the Ice Delay on the Timeline or something, it's really got it's own thing going, which I like.
There's quite a bit of hiss in there and sometimes some thumping, I guess that's the LoFi part of it but together with the repeats which sit behind the guitar so well it really creates an interesting texture.
You can easily get some mad vibrato sounds out of it as well, along with magic wand sounds, special fx and more, very cool.
Another cool thing is that you can get octave down delay sounds if you keep the buffer playback speed/direction control just a little bit off the center (I tweak it to ear by turning the mix full up and listening to the note on my guitar acoustically to match both).
Yep, I'm loving it, it's exactly what I needed for my band to give pad like textures behind some stuff that I play so on my board it goes!
