heres a burst on ebay @350 free shipping that was just posted
Dude I love you! I seriously love you. There in stock on Music123's website too! I cancelled my guitar center order and called music 123. They have 23 of the sunburst in stock! Mine is shipping tomorrow! After 3 months, finally!
23?! How they hell did they get so many when no one else can get any?!
No idea. I just called to make sure and he said yep we just got a shipment, there is 23 left (I guess 22 now :yay: ). I've never heard of them so maybe they're a little smaller than gc and stuff?

They're owned by GC/MF last I checked. My guess is they got in a shipment of whatever a "case" of them is (24?) versus the huge orders MF/GC got, and didn't have the preorders.

I hate all the color options.

Originally I was gunning for white, but a burst crossed my path and I said screw it.

They're all hideous, I can accept that out of a $350 VI!

Can a guitar amp handle one of these without exploding? I understand that VI's don't typically go into the lowest bass frequencies.

If you do it right they do.
I wouldn't push guitar speakers too hard with it, but there are plenty of bass speakers that work nicely in guitar amps.
also i may have convinced somebody at fender to trade me a VI for some pedals.

Yes, a guitar amp can handle the VI. Just don't expect a bass sound, it will be closer to a low baritone of some sort.

I run mine thru a '72 Ampeg V2 and its incredible. That said, I'm busy figuring out what speakers to swap in my vertical Emperor 2x12 to better support the low end. Seems like the Delta Pro 12a is a good choice for lower position, gonna pair it with something else up top. Maybe add a 1x15 someday soon, would be a great VI setup.

This is accurate.

American Musical Supply and Zzsounds are owned together as well. Another big company with them too but I can't recall who...

Yessss. At first I was with rfurtkamp and just chose the one I thought least ugly, but the white is really growing on me (and thankfully I ordered a white one!). Might go for a pickguard swap though...

I used mine with my Jazz Chorus without issue but I didn't go to blistering volume.

Got a 4x12 for my Mustang V head and called it good, it now sounds, well, like a bass if I want I it to.
