im intrigued. please post if you figure it out.
Cowboys and Aliens with Harrison Ford and that blond guy from the new bond films.

I know Blade Runner must have been mentioned, hopefully Pacific Rim has been also. Soldier with Kurt Russel was a good one, one of the last pre-CGI great movies.

So I finally tried to watch the new Total Recall via free Encore On-Demand...

I only made it to the part where the chick gets shot in the hand, and the dude wrapped up by that futuristic plasma lasso weapon or whatever...before I shut that piece of shit off while swearing like a sailer with tourette's.
If I had to guess, I'd say maybe 3 minutes in?
What a horrific pile of shit.
You really have to be some kind of idiot to ruin futuristic/space/scifi, especially with a massive budget.

I want that 3 minutes of my life back, and if I had to pay for my time to be wasted then I may have snapped.

Hey Hollywood...Fuck off with the endless remaking/rebooting movies that don't need to be remade.
Robocop I'm looking at you. :picard:

pacific rim blew. especially for such an awesome directior.
:barf:

& yeah, i haven't watched 'em but knew total recall & robocop would blow. movies shouldn't be redone unless they're like 30 years old like solaris. that was one acceptable remake i felt they did a pretty good job with, even if a lot of the original story was cut out.

Glad to see Enemy Mine mentioned. I loved that as a kid and recently rewatched it to see if it would hold up. Totally still kicks ass. Great film that actually has something to say.

I also rewatched Black Hole for the same reason. It, however, did not stand up to adult watching.

I really liked 2010. It was a lot more accessible than 2001. Plus Roy Schieder is a badass (in his own way). Bonus: you get to watch a young Helen Mirren try to sound Russian.
