I don't have any serious car issues currently, but +1,000,000,000,000,000,000.
Cars fucking suck. Fun, but a money pit for sure.

Seriously. My 94 Protege was awesome for that reason. Super easy to work on, got me over ever being scared of working on a car.

Don't own a car and hopefully I'll never have to because I'd never be able to afford it among the other things I like to do. All I have needed for my four years in Minneapolis is a bike, public transport and mooching off of my roommates

Nice. I did the same for the last three years in Seattle and it was awesome. Trying to do it in upstate NY now is harder, but I'm holding on until it gets to the point where I'm relying on my girlfriend's truck too much. Hopefully I can get a job in a place where the bus is a viable option.

true. my girlfriend has an old toyota and i love it. i have an old nissan, an 85 720 4wd. pretty similar deal. very simple and reliable as hell. that being said, i've been pulling my hair out all week with some wiring problems. finally got it fixed and running. it was annoying, but only cost me $13 in wire and connectors to get the job done. i love old japanese vehicles.

I miss living in a place where I could live without a car sometimes.

But having one, especially when you're outside a major metro area, is such a goddamn necessity.

Real talk, I was replacing the alternator or some shit on that toyota, and it wouldn't start so I kicked the shit out of it. Then it was fixed. Manliest day of my life.

Starter motors will generally be "fixed" once you give em a bash.
My Car just cost me $360 for a major service. I was pretty happy with that.
Jap cars do indeed rule.

Oh absolutely, I'm lucky to live in such a great area for alternative transport.

Getting cat litter sucks though so grocery shopping I either get my roommates to drive or if I'm lucky and my mom offers to take me.

Sucks walking and biking in the winter too. It was -30 here yesterday.
