Right when I was pondering getting the OD120 or a Gibson LP standard Brent posted this to facebook at a price I couldn't say no too! I have barely gotten to hold it as I picked it up at lunch but the neck is amazing and all the little touches, such as the perfect angling on the bridge to allow wider range of intonation and to follow the natural angle of your hand when palm muting, to the recessed neck bolts on the back (yeah its a bolt on), make it totally worth it. I'm putting a set of SD Black Winters in it tonight before I plug it in, I pondered BKP's but after talking to a few people I decided to get the SD's for half the price. Overall I'm FUKKIN STOKED.

I'm not that thrilled with the new Big Biz, and I'm a huge fan of the band, Karp, MurderCity Devils and the Melvins. IDK. It just didn't really grab me on first listen. Maybe it's a grower.
The new Indian, on the other hand, is a fucking masterpiece of harshness.
Felt the same way about the new Big Business record but I've only listened to it a couple times. It deserves a few more shakes but I've just been a little busy to get around to it. Soon though, and I hope repeat listens will change my mind.

Short update: the SVT I picked up is the LOUDEST amp I've played through my 810, and I don't think I'll ever have a problem keeping up in a band again. This thing sounds fucking incredible. A little nervous to push it with my flatback 810 since that's only 240w, but even with the volume at 9 o'clock I'm already what seems like as loud as I was with two amps and two cabs before, but now my shit sounds way more articulate and consistently room filling. Fuck, wasted so much time and went through so many amps, I should of looked for one of these years ago. Thanks for the help and advice the last few days about this too, guys <3

Give it a few more listens, couple of my mates have found it a grower but they're really liking it now.

I like this. I have a pedaltrain 2 that is currently a little too big for me (although the amount of pedals I have fluctuates.). I was considering trading for something smaller but didn't want to get stuck with something too small. This is a great idea.

Thanks Brett!!! I'm not into pointy guitars usually but some of his designs are just beautiful, what truly got me into them was will's doomsayers and then later when he released the nomad and stevie floyd's model, then I was sold. All I can say is that pics don't do it justice at all, I'm gonna do a demo video and a mini-review this weekend hopefully.

So I ran my 2204 last night on the low input and I was surprised that with my Revelation and Ritual on I could get it loud enough to dominate the drums, 1000 watt bass rig, 5150 full stack, and a 300 watt keyboard rig. Only thing that sucked was the Ritual didn't sound as good with the 2204. Mids were cutting through nice, but there wasn't just enough low end (and if I turned it up it got flabby in a bad way) and the highs were kinda ear piercing. That's weird, when I was playing a JMP the low channel was crazy loud and I much preferred it over the high channel not was cleaner and had tons more low end. I also would play everything on 10. Everything. Then after I blew a couple speaker (4 total at different times) I started turning the bass down a bit and fiddled with the eq to taste. But always kept the volumes dimed. Or else it was a little quiet I suppose. I had the 100w though. I don't fuck with the lower watt ones. Are your preamp tubes all up to date (working)?

Yeah, both have probably less than 25 hours on them. i think a lot of it is that the Ritual wasn't playing nice with the 2204. I usually run it on the high input with the preamp on 5 to get some of them dirty cleans and then slam it with the Revelation. It sounds great that way paired up with my Soldano. It has plenty of volume to hang with bigger amps, maybe not clean headroom, but it'll will keep up for sure. I have only ever used the low inputs for recording clean guitar tracks so I don't have much experience with it. Doing it at home always felt like it wasn't loud enough to be used like that in band volumes.

No but I've been Gas'n hard for one, cause like you I dont want phase or flange sounds but something similar and the univibe is just so lush and deep by comparison. There's a few out there that are really awesome, IMO the big ones being the Ox fuzz OxVibe, the Wilson Haze, and the EQD The Depths. I really want the OxVibe but its pricey >$300, so I'm thinking of picking up a Depths but theres almost too many knobs for me hahaha. There's also the Fulltone Deja Vibe which seems pretty popular on P&W boards and isn't crazy expensive (about the same price used as a Depths), and it comes in normal pedal forms and foot treadle (like a wah) versions.
