les diaboliques might count, as the whole story is fixed on this small boarding school, and the majority of the scenes take place there. Not as strict as the others here though.

Scenic Route is a new one that I just watched that is in one spot pretty much the whole movie...

Also almost anything Noir on TCM is one room shots...

Really?

Might've to watch that one again.
i mean honestly it's kind of apples and oranges because the original cube has all kinds of boobie traps and has a different focus.
whereas in the sequel they're in a four-dimensional construct where the deadlyness comes from physics breaking around them.
and I just enjoy the trajectory of the story more because it gets you into the time-travel sci-fi headspace and has a better ending IMO

Yeah, what behndy said. Even though it's been so long, I don't remember that.

I think I liked Cube2 well enough, IIRC correctly, I thought I thought the ending was kinda weak. Now, I'm definitely gonna have to watch it again. (Which means I'll have to watch the first one again first.) I think I also liked the first one better because the budget was much less and they had to get more creative with what they were able to work with (i.e. not much).

For sure I mean they're both great. I just personally dig the whole sci-fi twist of the second one.
And as for the ending, it answers zero questions, in the spirit of the first but it's more than just *fade to white* *roll credits*

What ever you do though, under no circumstance should you watch the prequel, Cube Zero. Just don't.

All of the shorts in "Paris J'taime" are relatively minimalist in set.
