Khanate rules, but dase's right, it's definitely ridiculous. Like.... you're in a band that does this? Just this? Talk about exploring a narrow band of human expression. It's pretty akin to pop music, in that way.

For me, here just so bleak and depressing that I can't help but laugh at how overwrought it is. Love the band, find them genuinely confronting at times but with most really intense things that I like in all forms of art there's an element of the straight up ridiculous about it too.

Serious question because I don't know that much about them....do these guys take themselves seriously or is it kind of a joke to them? For my own amusement I hope they are serious because to me nothing is funnier than these types of "extreme" bands thinking they are all tough and stuff and buying into their own image. Good times indeed.

The Primus reference was about how enjoyable a band can be live, versus listening to a studio recording. Yes, I know Primus has absolutely positively nothing to do with doom, duuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Also, I think BOC is lame as hell. Black Sabbath all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every time I see BOC, I think of Boards of Canada Not Blue Oyster Cult.

Figure Dubin means every single word he's screaming, how can he not in the way it's delivered?
