This may seem totally apropos of nothing, but I'm really really pleased with myself because I just learned how to play Maxwell Murder all the way through including the solo. I could never nail that fucking solo, but I did tonight. This isn't even a humblebrag. I'm ashamed that I was having such a hard time learning a fucking punk song.

Along these lines, because I'm on such a roll tonight, I'm gonna try the other song that I could never fucking play. Luckily I found a cover of it on Youtube. Look at this fucking kid play!!

Thing is, I totally can play Canned Heat (thank you jazz band for teaching me how to play a shitton of changes at very high tempo), but I'm like, nowhere near able to play Maxwell Murder. Fuuuuuuuuck nah. My bass doesn't even have enough frets.

actually I think you could play it if you really wanted to. It sounds hard and the way it is played by most people is hard, bit a big chunk of it can be played in 1st and 2nd position… it's in D after all The solo might take a bit of work but still it doesn't look very hard, he's just copying Entwistle moves

Yeah you need to choke up on how you grip it, learned the two main parts just listening after you guys brought it up [I've never hear the song before actually] as was able to play it twice as fast but then I grew up listening to Napalm Death
