What's the best mixed drink you ever had?

I don't really do mixed drinks but my two favorite were from experimenting with milk based drinks. my roommates and I would take a gallon jug of milk pour some out and ad a Kahlua knockoff and some cheap vodka and then drink it until there was enough space to ad more, so it would go until the dregs were boozy and syrupy and amazing. its hard to beat a big ol jug of white russian that gets stronger as you drink. my other favorite was with spiced rum and chai and milk. really spicy and peppery and great.

I made the mistake of never getting you to drink the Black Walnut Old Fashioned at Patterson House. Cuz that drink is incredible.

All of these are right up there, just depends on the season.

Dirty Mojito: A quality gold rum, lime crushed down in the bottom of the glass, brown sugar and a good hand full of mint leaves. I like it on the stronger side in the rum to soda water mix as well. I never order them anymore though because I'm always disappointed and bar tenders don't tend to take my finickiness kindly.

Dry Rob Roy (let's get fucking fancy): A nice Lowlands or Speyside single malt (but anything that's more on the grassy/citrus-y side as opposed to something richer/more caramel-y is good really), bitters and dry vermouth, chuck an olive on a stick in there and blam. Instant deliciousness.

Or more likely I'll just get a G&T because I'm broke and lazy.

I'm partial to a 50/50 blend (little variance depending on the Scotch) Rusty Nails.

The normal bar doesn't even know what one is most of the time so discovering I preferred a stronger Drambuie mix in the festivities helped for both teaching bartenders and my personal happiness.

Used to be scotch and ginger ale. Lately I've been doing vocals (badly) and this helps. Honey, port, rum, splash of red, fill the rest up with white. smooth and o so soothing. tasty.

There's an expensive bar down town I go to about once a year and everything they've served me has been amazing. It kind of reminds me of that one show Bartender because I'll go in and tell them a few abstract concepts (my gibbering bad communicatin skills) and they'll give me a perfect drink, just what I was needing but didn't know I needed.

When I'm at home I like to start off with a Zombie or two, using my special all-booze recipe. Once it gets hard to pour and when I think I can drink while playing legato lines, I'll switch to rum and coke, but have yet to find a rum I prefer for that endeavor.

Sometimes I don't go so hard, then its just a clear alcohol with Mtn Dew code red or voltage.

I vacillate between mint juleps and old fashioned's as my favorite drink. Luckily they're both very easy to make, and I find that I generally prefer the ones I make myself to any that I get from a bar. Manhattan's are good, too. Pretty much anything with bourbon in it will tickle my fancy.

I also forgot to mention that if I'm at a crappy bar where I think they're probably not going to make me a good drink (or over a friend's house who doesn't really know how to make drinks), I'll just order a Black Russian, that's pretty hard to screw up.

I mostly stick to beer these days. But I can get down with some red wine, sangria or mulled wine these days.
Mulled wine because I'm a wizard.

Uhm, "best mixed drink" was probably one grateful dead, followed by another grateful dead, both being purchased for me because I had to try one according to two different people. That was a rowdy evening.

Favorite is probably a well prepped G&T with a lime.
