F that shit, my Squier Jag bass has tort, and I dig it. At least I don't think it's lawyer-y.

Buy my gear! viewtopic.php?f=44&t=58763

I'm with behndy in that I don't really like pickguards (I took the pickguard off of my Squire Jazz Bass).
buuuuuut that is a very nice looking bass. Love the black + tort look. It still looks clean. Mine was sunburst and looked a little funky with a tort pickguard.

Re: What is in the post? The thread of and for GAS!
so,
after a long time of slumming it, and being really lucky that my cost of living is really low so i can afford gear:
i got a job that is tripling my income. i tried to play it cool for a day or two, but my GAS honesty has exploded.
to wit:
GAS:
Mountainking Decomposer
Seppuku Memory Loss
Seppuku Repeater
Manlay Sound Ronno Bender
The Out Sound...(yous just have to wait and see)
Lovetone Meatball (when will this saga end)
Sunn Model T
Rickenbacker 360 Capri
or more realistically
Rickbacker 330 Jetglo
Fender Jaguar
Gibson Les Paul Custom
Mutable Instruments Braids
Make Noise Phonogene
Serge Soup Kitchen
moar secret Buchla 200 clones.
I'm clearly new money, loosing my mind. I'm def gonna help my lady pay for repairs to the house she bought, and take us both on a nice vacation we've really never had, maybe two.

I've been seriously thinking about getting either the fdeck or a thumpinator at some point. Maybe that will let me stop blowing up cabs.behndy wrote:iiiiiii have been thinking about one of those too. got a bud that gushes about his.ShaunNecro wrote:

It's a high-pass filter to filter out subsonic frequencies. Most cabinets suck at reproducing anything below about 30-40 Hz, so there's no point in sending those sub frequencies to your amp. This box just cuts them out.ryan summit wrote:ok so what is that thing?

yah. my boy who has an Fdeck (the one i'd want) said he just dials it in so the tone is the same, then his amp is WAY louder 'cause it's not working to reproduce sounds it really can't.bigchiefbc wrote:I've been seriously thinking about getting either the fdeck or a thumpinator at some point.
