FF7 taught me that giant swords and Omnislash are absurdly badass, but Knights Of The Round is basically tool-assisted cheating and makes Ultima look like a lovetap.
Especially since it can be linked to MP Absorb materia for a freebie.
Or Mime for 259,974 blitzkrieg damage to everything in its path

FF8 taught me you can make uppity bipolar fellas even angrier by calling them "Chicken-wuss"
But fuck outta here with that nagging Seed rank demotion BULLSHIT because I don't always want to explore the game in a linear way.
Most unnecessary aspect of any FF game.
And that draw-spell system is as bad as the NES original's magic system.
Farming magic is so tedious and boring, it alone makes 8 a gift & curse.
It was also the first FF to break the 9999 damage ceiling. Did a double-take the first time I saw it. Felt wrong.

Still fun & challenging w/pretty sprites and interesting secrets.
Great tunes, too. But 7 > 8.

But realz talk to me when someone breaks the barrier or real time midi tracking with no glitches at all so you can control synths, software act with any instrument or sound or you own voice no matter what pitch the note is then. I mean yeah a lot of the stuff is cool and I enjoy reading about it and watch vids but most of the time...
