A very solid digital delay. Tone print capabilities, of which we have already touted their merits in this thread, are really nice. Some of the ones on the website are pretty meh but being able to make your own are awesome. I also really like the looper as far as using it, because it's super simple. My only gripe about it as a looper is that there isn't a button for looping, it's a switch, and unless you have the delay volume set to 0 the delay is automatically on, which is both cool and awful. But it's the reason I didn't jive with my Ditto, because the capabilities of the Flashback x4 are so nice for looping with the record/play once/stop being so fucking great.

I picked up a Hall of Fame Mini for my board back when I was on a PTJr and I really like it. Now that I upgraded to a PT2 I want to get another verb and move the Mini to the front of my signal for the washed out dirt out of a cave sound. But I love the tone print capabilities so much that I might just buy another Hall of Fame, but get the bigger one. It's a toss up. I really want a Ghost Echo and a Supermoon and an Eterna. I'm so torn. That being said, I haven't tried any of those and don't have the scratch to buy and flip.

Hall of Fame is rad. I have the PGS Trinity model and it is a delight. I have a few TC products on my board and have had nothing but good experiences thus far.

Glad to hear the good talk about the Flashback. I've been watching demos and had pretty much decided that the Flashback or Alter Ego would probably be the delay for me. Clean digital for when I need that sort of thing, all sorts of other sounds when I don't, small footprint, and trails. Because gimme trails over tap tempo every time.

Side question, does the HoF/Trinity have trails? I'm not sure if reverb pedals do that, but it would be pretty sweet if they did.

You can set it up for trails or no trails!

Really?!?! That's really cool. Hopefully I can stretch my Christmas cash to get a Trinity and a power supply. I'll worry about the delay later on.

Yeah if you take the back plate off its got two tiny switches. One for true/buffered bypass and one for killing the dry signal!

The smaller unit has tap tempo if I remember correctly, just isn't dedicated like the x4. Personally if you want a digital delay settling for anything other than the flashback x4 is fucking yourself over. Three presets plus the added tone prints. So fucking worth the money.

I assume it's similar to the Flashback and setting it to the buffered turns on the trails? I have yet to do this but I need to because I hate not having trails haha.

The x4 has presets? God dammit....I gotta find the dimensions and see if it will fit on one of my boards now.

Guitar Center is blowing out their "limited edition" Flashback.

It has some other name but it's like a hundred bucks or something. Part of their "january" clearance.

I like the Flashback x4 because of the presets and tap tempo. Having all that being dedicated makes it pretty handy. 3 Presets and then the last switch for tap tempo.

Here's an old shot of my board... Maybe you can glean it's general size from the photo.

Thanks for the pic. I would rock the hell out of that board.

The x4 may be too big for everything I'm trying to fit onto my PTjr.

As for the Guitar Center Flashback, is that only in stores? Looks like it's regular price online.

I think the that it starts in January. I got the ad in the mail that said it was part of the January clearance event. So if you're thinking that the x4 is too big then I'd just pick up the Transition delay.

Hell, if you can hold out until January on the Transition delay you can pickup a Hall of Fame Reverb on Amazon for $108.00 with free shipping. You can have the verb and the delay for the low low price of 210$, still less than the Flashback x4.
