Vapor Pen/eCig thread

Post by lotus_eater »

In an effort to try and quit smoking cigs I went out and bought a Vapor pen today. So far i'm liking the flavors I got. But man... these things are fucking harsh. I let one of my friends try it out (who easily smokes a pack+ a day) and he started coughing up a storm. Has anyone tried to quit smoking successfully with them? Cheers!

I had one for awhile and enjoyed it just fine.

Different flavors are more/less harsh. I had a chocolate truffle one from Johnson Creek. It was less harsh.

In any event, I sat on the pen and broken my battery. Needless to say I've been smoking cigarettes again but not buying my own packs, meaning I am the worst kind of person. But it's stopped me from smoking at home and means that I can't smoke 2 cigarettes on every break at work. I haven't been a heavy smoker in a few years and am far more social now than I was then so now I usually only smoke with certain people.

If you make the effort with the eCig you can do it. I just suck at making the effort. But I've also been trying to get healthy so eventually I'll have to motivate myself to stop filling my lungs with this shit.

I'm enjoying mine right now. I got some kind of organic blackberry that isn't harsh at all. Some of the ones I tried at the stor we're really harsh though.

Sorry but I don't think that's ever worked for a single person. Everybody I know have tried quitting with those things and just jumped right back into cigs, smoking more than they did before because they were just puffing away at those things.

I don't like them because I still want an actual cigarette after puffing on the vapors. To help reduce the harm, I only smoke American Spirits and use these guys- http://tarblock.com/ Boy, do those tarblock filter tips make a HUGE difference for my lungs!

Yeah those things are super harsh on the throat. I only use mine when I have ran out of tobacco. Also I don't like using it because they mess with my SSRI and anxiety meds.
