when i used to deliver pizzas a blind guy offered me $10 to clip his toenails?

nope. i was like 16 and it kinda freaked me out.

it was a weird job. we delivered to the GHETTO. i got held up every 10th delivery, but almost every one was at the person's house. they would be hellza high and pull a gun and i'd politely explain, "you're robbing me.... at your home address.....?" then when they said SHIT and realized why that wasna the best idea, i'd offer them the spare pizza i took on every delivery.

..... then like 90% of the time they'd offer to smoke me up. which i would pass on, but that was nice.

What happened to the spare pizza the nine deliveries they didn't attempt to rob you on?

lol. either gave it to some street kid or threw it in on a larger order or handed it to a stoner or took it home.

it was a weird job. we got robbed at gunpoint in the store (was a Round Table) three times the year i was there.

i started working there about 12 minutes after i got a driver's license so one time when it was raining i came back from a delivery to hear the end of my manager (who was about 22 and wanted us to know how cool she was, which she was) having a conversation, "no sir. no, i believe you that it was a Round Table truck, but none of our drivers would do something like that.". then when i was loading up pizza's she got off the phone and asked me, "you didn't fucking smack off of a tree and then slide into someone's garage did you? wait- if there's no damage to the truck tell me of course you didn't."

"of.... course i..... didn't.....?"

"GOOD."

only really rough part was i was stopping at a gas station in DEEP hood one time and there were a few cop cars there. apparently someone tried to take off that gas station and the owner unloaded into him a bunch of times with a shotgun. there wasn't much connecting his torso to his legs.

I sold a bass cab to this couple early this year, and then saw them playing through it about 8 months later. All of my craigslist stories are boring.

the scammy thing where someone says a tele type person will contact you so it excuses their inability to speak english and they need you address and contact info to send an agent out..... i got one of those for a bass cab i was selling. scammer person said they were deaf, so tele type thingy is go.

because a deaf person is totally needing a MUSIC ITEM LISTED I INTERESTED IN FOR BUYING.

I have a cool story where I was walking in downtown Saginaw at 2am and a crackhead came up to us in front of a liquor store and showed us the most bitchin' handshake ever. Waaaaay better than being shot.

You've never got naked and rubbed yourself up against a bass cab?

That's the way deaf people do it. They like the bass cuz they can feel it.

I've never had anything go bad but I've def met some sketchy people.
I wen't to this one guys house for a fender 2x12 cab that was beat to hell and he was selling for cheap. Dude answers the door and he's filthy, his nails look like he hasn't trimmed them in years and the place is overrun with cats. Cat hair everywhere, and it stank.
I almost turned around right then but I went in anyways. The cab was cool, as advertised, so I bought it off him. The whole time he's telling me how he used to be a "Professional musician" and he sells cd's on ebay to make his living now, but that he's selling his old rig so he can pay his mortgage. the whole place was trashed. I felt really bad for him.
I got the cab home and set it outside in the back yard proceeded to clean it extensively and took it all the way apart. It had a pair of very nice altecs in it that I still have and use. I ended up refinishing the cab and selling it for more that I paid.

I've actually not had so much sketchy deals over the years. Most of the funny stuff happens by email.

A few months ago, I was selling a pedal like 40% under the street price over here. Some guy kept harassing me for two weeks via email telling me how he was buying from US dealers on ebay and that he didn't pay import taxes and my price is only a tiny bit lower than what he could get blah blah.
I first thought the guy was a douche, screwing society over lying not to pay VAT and import taxes. Turns out he was a douche and a creep as he sent me more than 20 emails over the 2 weeks I had the ad up. His first offer was around 50% of my asking price. Last was around 85%. Turns out that on the same day, I sold it to a very nice lady for my asking price.

I'm glad I use a different email for ads.


On a happier note, I met my current bandmate through selling him a pedal.
