Fucking FINALLY
Jesus christ!!!! I'm out of it for one fucking day and this is what happens?
Oh man, there are a couple D-Bags over at talk bass that I hope are getting spoonfed some pretty big helpings of shit for this one. They went on and on about how they knew important people at Digitech who assured them that this was never going to happen.
Anyways, this is pretty cool. I've always loved the Whammy, and as long as the price point on this bad boy is reasonable, I'll definitely get one.
As for your questions Behndy, yes, you could definitely program an H9 (or hell, an M9 too) to do the same functions as the Bass Whammy. And the standard whammy algorithm is not the cleanest tracking. The fact that it's tracking freaks out sometimes and it has an artificial sound is part of why some people like it. Hell, Lightning Bolt writes songs based around glitching these fuckers out like crazy. But the newest whammy can be switched over to a polyphonic mode that tracks a lot better, and I assume this one will have the same thing. It will be nice to finally get that huge XP100 off my board. The main reason why I stuck with the XP100 is because it was the only other whammy that had the 5th/octave harmony mode. The only thing I'll miss is the volume pedal mode, I guess I'll have to finally get good at using my basses volume knob to do swells.
