I get the same way when I speaks to student's parents. Specially if it's a parent that is super nice and I'm telling them something positive, it just comes out octaves higher, haha! If I have to tell them something negative though then it's normal. Weirdly though, I feel like my voice is an octave lower when I speak Spanish since the only reference of Spanish I look to is my father. And most student's parents at my work are Spanish speaking so I probably just sound like an asshole to them on the phone. Maybe I should start a band where I can do vocals in Spanish.
Haha at least I'm not alone! It's funny how we speak to different people. My wife says that I mumble in a low voice most of the time, quite contrary to on the phone I'd say. I say you start that spanish vocal band. Slow and heavy. I can only really think of Orthodox doing the same type of thing more in the mainstream but I'm probably just ill-educated haha

While your voice isn't very bass heavy I couldn't see you getting mixed up for a female. But the frequency filtering of most commercial phones makes people sound very different so who knows. :idk:

My voice changes, normally its not very bass heavy unless I try. Thanks to the metal plate making up half my sinuses and constantly being congested I feel like my voice is more nasally than it used to be. But get a couple brews in me, or some mixed greens and my voice drops down and the bass comes in, its the weirdest thing but people have been telling me for years that they know I'm inebriated when I start sounding just like Patrick Warburton

For those not in the know:

I think it's partially how I pronounce S's. It's funny because it's only on the Craig side of my family, but my dad and both of my aunts ALL say S's with the same mouth motion and the S's seem to linger a bit. That and I feel like I have to scream on the phone for people to hear me. Plus I try to get people excited on the phones (TWSS) and act like they won the lottery when I called, even though I'm just trying to schedule their next blood donation haha

GRR DOES THAT MEAN I'M A REAL MAN?? :!!!:  :yay:

The first time I saw Thou they blew my mind with their tone. A knock off LP on the neck pickup into a big muff into a 5150 through a marshall cab and it was thicker than molasses.
I remember the first time I saw Thou as well. Nara Sushi (RIP) in Richmond. I had ordered an LP of theirs a while before the show but they hadn't been shipped with inserts so they jotted down my stuff and Brian got it all sorted out. Ended up chomping on some sushi with them. The nicest dudes EVER. Definitely a show I will never forget.

That could be a factor but you still have a manly timbre to your voice so :idk:

The getting people excited on the phone though.... well.. not many men are known for that ability.

Well considering same sex marriage isnt legal in MD yet, I'm pretty sure you gotta be a real man.... :thumb:

Ironically, I think this is the only forum I don't use a picture of myself as my avatar. This avatar is more the REAL me than the real me.

Sweet neck, I'm trying to decide on a source for a tele neck for my next project. Trying to decide between in stock stuff at Warmoth and Musikraft right now.

Thanks for the neck compliments dudes! I sold off a bunch of videogames (I used to own an import shop around the turn of the century) and was sitting on dough for a minute there so I went all out with the Warmoth. I often get uncontainable boners when I see those jazz basses with black blocks so I knew my TM would need some black blocks in vintage finished maple. I'm so happy. If it plays half as good as it looks I'll be in 25.5 heaven :animal:

While I've got you guys here I wanted to mention that I'll be raffling off a special Ape Blaster for hurricane relief. Shit is fucked up down there and I want to help. I'm trying to have the web page up today. I'll return with a link.
