meh. i use the black Planet Wave short buggers. more reliable than the cheapie pancakes.

and so far each of the top mounty thingers Danno's done for me i can use pancakes and the power up thar.

power cables… particularly if you are running daisy chains...
and I use lytpedalboards molded ones for audio chain

I only use thar cables… My board is by road cases… it's your general big lid concept thing.
You just like snake them around and use the pedals to hold them in place, slats are cool but I like not having to take my board in and out of a bag or case
