Man I feel really bad for D.Rose.
He cant catch a break in his favor and I fear he's going to be a changed player like Baron Davis.
MSUsousaphone wrote:My Pelicans are going to be rocking it. Get on the bandwagon early. And fuck that shit rustywire. Soft fans. My ass. Suck ass team and it's stayed here. Gonna be legit now that it has actual players. Just like the Saints. 40 years of goose eggs in any other city and that team would have folded. NOLA can bring it. Just gotta give them something to pull for.
"Soft fans" meaning weak interest/patronage due to any number of reasons. "Soft market" for context.
NOLA is Saints territory, NBA is such an afterthought and the lower bowl camera shots show it on League Pass. Also see the next 2:
MIA fans have so much shit going on at any time and the climate to take advantage of outdoor shit.
ATL fans, same shit.

Pelicans will be in the lottery. And seriously, "The Pelicans" WTF. Soft name. "Wimpy name" for context  :poke:
adapt wrote:also, if the suns make the playoffs this season i will eat a log of human shit. go blazers.
 Suns are 1 of like 4 teams that could grab that 8th seed.

There are going to be lots of trades starting next month.
Blazers look great...I mean, I anticipated they'd be winning but not like this!

BTW it's going to be Spurs/Pacers or Spurs/Heat in finals.
Realized I forgot to mention that as of now.
Those were my pre-season predictions, tbh.

Also rooting against: Derek Fisher.
Bummer that louse has to be on the Thunder...yet another small market team I dig, which is kind of my thing if you haven't noticed...

I fear for D Rose's physical and mental health in the hands of that training staff. I get the feeling they're gonna clean house of the medical staff this year.

:hello:

Edit: Also rooting for the Kings...Rudy Gay and DeMarcus Cousins look great alongside one another.
Happy for the Sac fans...maybe they'll actually be able to keep their team after all...and not be in the lottery every year they manage to hold on!

Adapt, I think you can rest easy...Suns are done. They won't make the playoffs barring some kind of miracle.
After blowing tonight's game, they're going to lose out...especially if Dragic is injured. :(
And to think they were masters of their own destiny up until this point, in the stacked west. Remarkable season, but a loss like this, after a 37point first quarter and 20 point lead blown...is a psyche killer.

Young team hasn't yet learned that you never ever let off or deviate from what is working until it no longer works, especially against the Spurs.

Suns/Griz are the last two spots left to be decided in the playoffs.

PLAYOFFS IS ALMOST HERE. YES.

Also glad that the Island of Misfit Mavericks made the playoffs. Ellis has been one of my favorite-to-watch players since We Believe.

Yeah, Mavs are in...and I really want Carter to get his ring. If only he were on that 2011 squad...

Suns blew another lead/game last night against them, specifically Bledsoe with his 7 boneheaded turnovers from trying to play hero ball and force the issue.
Back to back games he's scored 30+ points yet his team has lost. I was yelling at my tv, like a lunatic, to run the offense through Dragic and attack the paint.
I have to watch sports alone

Only way they can grab that 8th slot now is if Grizz lose to both them & the Mavs. Which at this point is the slimmest of odds. :(

Suns are so much more fun to watch than the Grindhouse Grizz...and will really benefit from playoff experience, to help motivate them to that next level, next season...

Yet another Tennessean?? :)
And maybe also a fellow TBJ/Starters fan?

Have 2 things to say right now: Grizzlies have the longest winning streak going into the playoffs. :snax:
AND I'm so   :grumpy: that the Suns have to go home, while the Hawks play more. That's just :erm:  :wha?: :idk: :whateva:

Really enjoy TBJ, haven't seen The Starters but I hear great things. I mostly just get into Basketball Twitter and get in on discussions with a lot of those guys. The guys from Stepien Rules and Fear the Sword are great dudes and good people to talk basketball with.

And yeah, I live in the Nash! I keep meaning to bring it up when I see you post.

Man, this season really wore on me as a Cavs fan. It was bad enough watching them struggle with consistency and have embarrassing losses every couple of weeks... Or days, sometimes... But it felt like every week we were getting a new story that everyone hated each other in the locker room and Kyrie and Dion both wanted out. ESPN was trying to drive this narrative to go along with the "lol Cleveland sux LeBron left get over it" storyline they've been pushing. Frustrating as a fan that I can't just enjoy what we got for the foreseeable future.

Whoa, you're up there with McSpunkle while I'm down here with DanW. Rad

I think we've learned this year that Kyrie is one of those superstars who can't be a leader. Cleveland's rebuild has the same problem that we'll see in Philly in a few years. You can't build a team with just young players. You need leadership and experience, as boring as that is. They made the right move by adding LD, but it was too late. I can't see any part a of a bright near future for them that doesn't involve some big moves this offseason. I doubt LD will want to stay, but maybe they could make a move for Gasol? Even bringing in a guy like Richard Jefferson might help.

Pretty excited for the playoffs. I would have prefered Thunder/Warriors and Grizzlies/Clippers and Bulls/Nets and Raptors/Bullets, but this will do. It's crazy how many teams in the west will see it as a disappointment to not make it past the 1st round in the West. Meanwhile, only two teams in the East can be unhappy about how far they've come. I know the Nets were supposed to be better, but I think the mainstream gets too caught up in names without considering age. These are probably the same people who thought Payton and Malone and Jordan would win titles with the Lakers / Wizards lol. Plus, the Nets best player (Lopez) has been out most of the season.

One more thing: I really don't like James Harden.

Ok, one more piece of flame bait: I don't think Scott Brooks is a great coach.
