A Black Death Sampler/Synth in an aluminum housing with switchable code/modes. So excited.

I was excited about this until I realized he was charging an extra $150 for a $15 aluminum case with no art or labels, and some plastic knobs.
I think the switchable code is the likely culprit for the price hike. The standard/wormcode modes makes it a significantly more versatile beast for silly noise making.

I didn't think this deserved its own thread, but when Guitar Center or whoever sends you a 15% off coupon and they list about a billion brands that don't "participate" in the promotion, is that, like, real? It's always most shit that you'd want to buy. What is the point of this coupon? Can you talk them into it anyway or

They are serious. Get past the salesperson and whoever is on the floor overlooking them, and you can talk turkey. Before the walmart's took over, it used to be that you could get up to 30% off the msrp on any guitar. and up to 15% on electronics. That sort of deal was not what the salesman was going to offer, but if you were a good negotiator you could get those prices. ever since they mailorder and bigbox stores drove most smaller shops out of business, i think the msrp pricing structure has changed so that it looks like you're getting a better deal than you are. You just need to talk to the right person and the balls in your court. the floor salesmen are worthless.

It's worth a try. I dunno about GC but I asked ProGuitarShop about it once and they were happy to let me use their discount coupons on brands that they listed as not participating. I guess some places just advertise that to keep from getting in trouble with the brand. Kinda shady though

ugh. more than shady. that's the thing Prymaxe does that's yucky. tells builders they'll be excluded from their constant coupon sells then blows their loot out. that, and shady shippin's.
