The Hobbit was absolutely written for children. (not that anyone's saying otherwise.)

LOTR remains interesting/vital--beyond the books, which I love to death and will shank all who oppose--because of all the academic silliness/accoutremonts surrounding it's creation. Shit, even that crazy tea party lady loved Tolkien.

Just started Dance with dragons. It is an improvement stylistically, so far. Not a huge one, but...

Finished the 4th book a few months ago. Have only seen season 1 of the show. At this point, you could say I love the series.

Just finished book 5 and can no longer be spoiled. Season 4 is going to be possibly the best yet, episodes 8, 9, 10 should be non-stop action/insanity! Ugh, March is going to be a long slog.

My goal for this summer is to read books four and five. This season is gonna be the best yet, so pumped.
