I could see that.

On the other hand, any doom show with more than 50 people in attendance still feels weird to me, so...

I mean, I really thought that the NE Doom and Grind was as big as the whole scene was liable to get, and that was in the Middle East downstairs.

It happens, I think if they had kept the fest in one location the whole time it would have been more successful because people could plan around it easier. Two years ago it was in Rob and Cheryls home base which is frederick maryland and it was killer because everyone in the local scene showed up and plenty more due to the ability to advertise successfully. but when your bouncing around to different states you hve to rely on people in that area to do the press, and well most of us knows how that goes.

Put me down as an Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats fan. Their album Blood Lust is even better than Mind Control.

Their early stuff veers into D-beat territory (with Chris Maggio on drums tearing shit up) while the later albums get something of a more rock & Fugazi influence going. Also Ryan Patterson is the guy behind Shirtkiller.com and makes cool artwork while he's at it

Sooooo....MXR Bass Octave Deluxe. There's a decently priced one here locally and I'm thinking about picking it up to just fuck around with. I've never messed with octave. It's sub $100. Should I bite?

Glad to see that you guys did not disappoint re: Uncle Acid. Methed out Scooby Doo music is probably the best description I've ever heard for anything ever, and it happens to be super accurate in this case.

Any idea what sort of rig they use? I've read LP Junior and cranked tweed hit with a fuzz. BUT WHAT FUZZ????

Forget who mentioned it, but you should hit that MXR Octave for that price. If nothing else you might make a few bucks on the flip if you don't like it.

And I have a BAT Black Forest incoming. I am very pumped about that.

Spent more time with my Iron Horse. Maybe I'm just not a Rat guy, so it will be sold posthaste in an effort to snag that Depths in the BST. PM if you are interested.

Also used the no diodes position on my Elements and regret not using that before.

Aye. Been waiting patiently for one to pop up for a good price for a while now.

And yes, you should definitely pick up that octave pedal. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

T-rey, hang on to your iron horse and try stacking it with the BF. You may be pleasantly surprised. I might actually pull my PDX off BST later. I haven't given it enough time with high volumes.

DoS: who knows why the disbeat is so rad? Scientifically formulated to kick arse?
