Those clips are pretty tits ry! As much as I love that doom bloom artwork though, I'm not sure how much I would like one in my rig. Sounds cool, but it just seems like something I might not really mesh with.

So this past Thursday, I saw 3 bands. One called Red Shield, who I believe might have been semi-local, Coliseum, who sounded very reminiscent of Red Fang (almost as if Helmet and Motorhead had a musical child), and another band called... PELICAN.

My buddy who was in attendance and I both spoke to Trevor de Brauw, and it was all we could do not to nerd the fuck out. He's a pretty chill guy and we briefly discussed work ethic with him before I picked up the new album. I had not listened to any of the leaks save the original single that came out pre-release. It made Clutch's Earth Rocker album that much better, and it did the same here. Everyone's boards were setup deceptively simply, with the exception of Dallas Thomas's, whose board was comparable to boards I see on here all the time.

I also managed to lose my iPod the next day... I'm going to have to be on medication until I either get it back or find a replacement.
Good Deal List: bearbeams, pena_55, sonidero, greyscales, ChetMagongalo, xchristophex, Monkey Boy, krautrocker, osbornkt

The split with Queen Elephantine?
Nah, first full length. That split is pretty rad sticks, too.

Coliseum...Godammage. Rules.
Just sold my Lutherdrive, so no more coliseum tones for me.

Gonna suss your bloom later ry, when I finish work. Just checking in here before my break is up.

Man what a long weekend....

On the plus side I took the two hour drive to go see the Sunday night of SHOD XIII which was pretty cool. Went to support my good friends in LORD and Akris, also caught some other wicked bands like Black Thai and Wizard Eye. I got the entire LORD set on video which I'll be posting up sometime soon.

On the business of Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, YES!!!! I love the retro 70's british sound, and their really good musicians as well. I listen to it as chill music at work since it won't really offend anyone.

It did, but it usually does thats kinda the fun part of it is discovering new bands you havent heard. The best was probably 2 years ago in 2011 when AA played. The turn out was great, the sound was great and there was ALOT of big bands playing. Apparently this time they had good turn out friday and Saturday night but last night I think I was one of maybe 5 people that wasn't in a band.

:idk: I wasn't at the CT one but they can be hit or miss depending on alot of factors and which night you go. This may have been the last one though as Rob and Cheryl have decided their hearts are just not in it anymore. Brendan of Eye of the Stoned Goat took over this year to see it through but who knows what he'll do next year.

Sounds pretty par for the course.

Except for featuring bands with road crews.
