I think it's just a glitch with all their new updates and hopefully it'll soon be fixed.

Yeah, it's messed up for me too.
I also foolishly updated the youtube app on my phone and now it takes like 2 minutes to load the main page.

but make sure that you go through all the preferences and turn off all the auto-share-type options which try to combine all your email addresses and comments etc and send out updates to everyone in your address book type things

no, i totally feel you. the way things have slowly slid so you have to opt out of all that connectivity/data mining bullshit instead of choosing it is kinda disgusting.

i started a youtube channel a couple of weeks back and now you have to signup to the associated google+ before you can upload anything.
there are so many pages and obscure subpages of notifications and linking of accounts and cross platforms that you have to try and untick, it took ages and there are probably still some that i missed

i dont need to be emailed everytime somebody comments or 'shares' something! i dont want to be emailing every poor sod who happens to be in my address book updates of my fucking 'activities'! i dont even want most of those people in my address book!
