Re: Recommend me some kids movies!
My nephew was huge on Cars until his attention span went at ten minutes, but it was always the first thing he wanted to watch.
For adults, you can't go wrong with Pixar stuff, but it's hard to tell what the kid will like and I haven't been field testing forever. I could watch The Incredibles and Up over and over again, though.

You basically have to see Star Wars when you're that age, otherwise you'll never understand why it's so awesome to so many people.lapsteel wrote: Sidenote: Can a six year old handle for the original Star Wars?
Also, Pope, you have to show the The Rescuers Down Under. YOU'RE AUSTRALIAN YOU HAVE TO.

Rescuers Down Under was one of my favorites when I was a kid. My dog (a min pin) reminds me of Joanna (McLeach the antagonist's pet monitor lizard).
Also:
Whinnie the Poo.
Bed Knobs and Broomsticks.
Current-ish Kids TV Shows that I watched and liked.
Chowder
Misadventures of Flapjack

^ Definitely. "Ponyo" and "My Neighbour Totoro" were big hits with my kids, so much so that we had to take them to Ghibli Museum when we were in Japan. That place is awesome.

I have a 5yo son and these are some of his faves over the years...
Monsters Inc
The Incredibles
Despicable Me
Kung Fu Panda
Toy Story Series
Wizard of Oz
Oz The Great And Powerful
Wreck-It-Ralph
Megamind
He like Ponyo as well but more for the visual appeal. I don't think he had a clue what was going on in that one.

I figure I was under five when I saw the original in the theater. In the fricking 70s. (Fuck I'm old.) And look how I turned out. So no.lapsteel wrote:Sidenote: Can a six year old handle for the original Star Wars?

Re: Recommend me some kids movies!
My son is going to be 3 in a couple weeks, and he's also totally obsessed with the Cars movies. We also took him to see Planes this summer and he lost his shit. I think that just came out on DVD.
He also loved Wall-E and Up.
Also, if you have Netflix, there's a Cars short on there called Mater's Tall Tales, which I think he likes just as much as the actual Cars movies.
