Do I want to study medieval literature?

Post by Iommic Pope »

Do I?
It isn't necessary I just really want to do it and the university that's offering it says this will be the last year that they do.
Anyone else done it? Is it as cool as it sounds or just a pain in the arse?
Also, will be studying online/remote and part time, if that makes a difference?
What thinks, literati?

And yes, I expect I will learn to speak wizard upon completing this course.

The middle ages lasted for quite a while and involved a lot on countries, is this an overview or does it have a specific area and or theme? On one hand it sounds cool on the other I'm not sure what you'd get out of it unless you want to really make it a thing.

Not looking to get a job out of it, just bolstering english subjects before I go off and study teaching....and cause I wanna.

This is true, it did go on. I can't access the unit outline at the moment, but if I can find it later I will let out know for certain. From what I can ascertain, it will be an overview with some highlights picked out for focus.

Chankers, you got something enlightening you wanna throw my way? You got specific knowledges in this field?!
No pun intended on the enlightenment thang.
Not sure if it's in the course, I'll find out laters.

Fuck no.
Can expound, but really, not worth it unless you're into medieval sociology.

No, not really, but my thoughts on this questions are "if you have to ask", then, the answer is "No".

I do love the Voynich Manuscript though.

So, I'm a history major and I have no illusions; my major is never going to help me in any major way. (Except the other day. I got into a discussion about post-Reconstruction Era politics and the long lasting effects on Texan governors. But I digress.)

That said, I had a BLAST. I took some of the weirdest history classes ever (The history of Anglo-Jews from the 1200s to the 2000s is probably the best one) and I kick ass at Trivial Pursuit now. So, if you're just trying to decide what to study, do what makes you happy.
