Not true. The money has nothing to do with it. I can afford to shop at Whole Foods, but they are ridiculous on price, so why would I? Because I'm a blind moron consumer that doesn't know that half their shit isn't organic, is filled with GMO's and shipped from overseas???? WOW they got great stuff. Sure that 365 shit tastes good when it's shipped in from fucking China.

I worked there for 2 and a half years. I know all their games and ploys. They are full of fucking shit.

I'd rather not shop at Whole Foods if I can help it (especially for fresh produce), but being poor dictates where I buy certain food stuffs.

Surprisingly (or rather not so surprisingly because they buy in such large quantities), Whole Foods is often cheaper than mainstream supermarkets or independent natural food stores on certain items.

They also sell local produce in season, and that's great if you're nowhere near a farmer's market/co-op. Like any grocery store, stick to the outer rim and away from the aisles and you'll be fine...unless you want some kelp or granola.

I don't want to start a fight, because there are a lot of people on this board that I know would be offended if I actually gave my position on Whole Foods in particular, and the natural/organic/anti-GMO movement in general.

I'll just say that I am not a fan of Whole Foods, and it has nothing to do with how expensive it is.

Local produce you say??? That's a laugh. I don't believe anything at the store I worked at was local, at least not in the produce department.

I'm talking other things that you can ONLY see as being on the inside.

I'm not saying they are a horrible store, but fuck their prices. That's shit's insane. You can get the same quality elsewhere for less.

word. i mean, i do make like, twice what a normal grocery store produce guy makes, almost a living wage. alot of the produce is local, which let me tell you, is a massive pain in the dick insofar as having things in stock.

often times, the people that complain to me about prices, local item availability, and organic item availability are unaware of how difficult it is to hit all three of those moving targets at once.

well that's your experience i guess. at the one near where i live they stock produce from 4 different local organic farmers, and the sprouts they stock came from about four miles down the road once a week. the local produce was hit or miss depending on what day it was in relation to the farmer's market/weather.

It always amuses me how people dress up to go to Whole Foods.
It is a Whole Foods experience, it's not just going to the grocery store. People put on their Whole Foods clothes and go chill there.

I like their 365 coffee (Early Morning Buzz). Seems like a good ratio of quality vs. price. Unless you wanna suggest some other type of readily available coffee, he asked hopefully…?

I also like them for salad dressing, and (belieb it or not) beer. Bread. 365 vitamins. They do have a few things I like.
