I love their stuff but sometimes their marketing schtick is a bit... tone-warrior.

Someday I would like to try some Solidgold Fx stuff, particularly their phaser. The delay looks cool. I think more delays need effects loops. Speaking of delay....whatever happened to the SS/BS delay that was in the works? I know a lot of his projects tend to get backburnered but I don't remember seeing anything about it.

Well, I played with the prototype and it was pretty cool. That was back in the summer. However, Brian wasn't quite in love with the circuit himself, so I know he wanted to do some tweaking on it before he made it a production thing.

Pretty sure Bri Bri said this year for release, but that was before he tried to commit commuter suicide on a bike and evicted himself. Those two events probably aren't as related as that syntax may lead you to believe.

Wanted to focus on the Outlaw and Diabolik at practice yesterday so I just took the mini. Outlaw sounded killer with a pick, but didn't care as much for it finger style. Diabolik is a fucking destroyer, love it, but might be a little too intense for my main band distortion.

Anything you can divulge about the features? The one he built for himself had a patchbay but he wasn't keen on keeping that for the production model at all.

My favorite response to trolly things is "k"

I have a buddy who likes to try and get rises out of people, and he'll try it on me every once and a while. After a few minutes, he gets bored and frustrated. Fun to watch.

Pretty much that. It did some really neat modulation stuff, but it was still pretty far from a solid plan, I think. I thought the patches were cool, but he said there was really only one good sound in the patch bay anyway.

yah. i like the relentless, unflappable happiness. i mean, that's kinda how i roll in real life when someone's being insulting and i don't really get why. mebbe they're just having a bad day? if i'm not buds with them i could give less than a half of a quarter of a sixty twelfth (I MADE UP THAT LAST NUMBER AND IT MAKES ME HAPPY) of a fuck what they think or what they think about me. and it's not even usually about personal shit, they just want to feel better by bitching about something or Internet Tough Man'ning. WHATEVAH.

hee. his responses -

"It's adorable that you actually think that sounds good. Spending your time buying tons of gear and jerktapping off instead of actually making music. Also, what in god's name are you talking about?"

"It's adorable that you think that actually sounds good. Sold any CDs lately?"

to Deltz "sorry you're butthurt you can only find the root note" comment -

"Yes because the only alternative to dumb bass tapping is rudimentary root and fifth. How about grooving in the pocket with solid key tones? How about a fat walking backbone? Shredding on a bass is for very sad, bored people."

i... i kinda LOVE that he seems to think i'm a shredder. the actual fuck? i barely know where the fuck i am when i'm doing stuff. he is so damn CUTE.

lol. and i REALLY like "Also, what in Gawd's Name are you talking about?".
