i love sterbend. i never run across anyone else who's even heard of them. dude's vocals are so nuts. like really crazy and shitty and are kind of off-putting at first, but then i really got into them. they go with the band for sure once you adjust to hearing them. their drummer does some killer shit.
i'm jamming this right now. i've been jamming it a lot for a couple of months.

I agree! to me it's more convincing in terms conveying inner pain then sounding good because you know you sound like that after you've been screaming at someone after a while, I like that I love the depressing bands so I think I found out about them about a year or so ago, great stuff!

I just found these guys when browsing Spotify today. They sound good.
I've absolutely loving Bonnie Prince Billy's I See a Darkness album. It's fantastic. I was blaring it into my ears and feeling all emo earlier this evening. Then I put on the new Whores. record and fucking BLARED.

That's quite the juxtaposition! I think its kinda funny that the album/song title for I see a darkness has the acronym I SAD. Bonnie prince BIlly is my top singer/songwriter. I really like his earlier Palace material.
If you like the microphones, you should check out their whole catalog. Its mostly in the same vein, but non-the-less amazing. Phil Elvrum IS the microphones, and I just love his production techniques. He later changed the name of his work to Mount Eerie and that's what he's releasing material and touring as. More awesome.

Oh yeah, Hail Satan!. I listen to alot of singer songwriters. Was in a Kyle Fields mood today so been spinning Little Wings. You might like Karl Blau if you're not familiar. He's put out alot of solo recordings over the years, and now he's playing bass in Earth for the last two albums...i think both pt1 and pt2. He's their touring bassist anyways.
