Thanks Evan! I think this might be my favorite pedal that I've made. It's pretty hairy :)

Awesome looking build! How do you use a pot for the scoop instead of the switch? I've been wanting to try that. Is it as simple as I'm thinking it is?

Haven't tried it (extra knob on mine is octave balance), but it should work like so...the two points on the board for the tone switch, go to the outer lugs of a new pot. The center lug of the new pot goes to the outer most non grounded lug on the balance pot. I can draw a diagram if needed, but I think you get it :thumb:
Gut shots coming soon.

I liked the first one so much, I thought I'd build a smaller one.

This one has a switch in place of the previous Waveshape pot. So it's down to two pots, two switches. Overall footprint is a LOT smaller as well.

I've populated four boards for this circuit on two different PCBs and they all sound damn-near identical, regardless of LED type or LDR type. I've got A100K in there now for Speed, but it's too bunched up. I think C100K would be a lot better, but still it's quite usable.

I went with yet another alcohol ink look, and added some metal corners to give it a Victorian sort of steampunk-ish look. I also glued on some metal decorative gears to cover the glory holes. She's a mess inside, as I did some pretty heinous mis-drilling.

Yea! I'll do some testing with it today and let you know. Bri guy said he didn't find much use with the in between tones when he briefly tried it.

This rules. Love that finish! I have a hard time getting them "right" when I've tried stuff like that.
