Promo: thedoomroom

We currently only have pre-orders up for limited Tapes and CDs, Tapes should be ready by Novembers end, CDs should be ready by mid December.

After that we will get to printing shirts and the fun stuff, so if that's more your schtick you can save it for that.

The Doom Review is going pretty well, I have signed on another writer that agrees with the goal and guidelines that should have one up tonight, talking with a few others as well. Just put one up today of Curse the Son, damn was that a cool album!

Seriously, where are you gonna get a stryper wristband nowadays. I mean, why you would want one is besides the point. The hipster irony level has to be over 100.

Fuck, I just got my head back together.
Sleep was religious. And effortlessly heavy is the perfect fucking way to describe it. Right on, man.

Ha! Al staring motherfuckers down would have been awesome!

The first time Om played in Boston the sound dudes had to physically eject them from the stage, bros coming up on stage and turning off amps and such.

hahaha that rules. I seriously think if the venue staff had done that in melbourne they wouldn't've gotten out of there alive. Too many angry doom bogans.

Yeah, Om doesn't really bring out the bogans as much as the heads/scene brahs and sahs. At least, early on. Esp. in New England, where the HXC RULES ALL THAT IS METAL.
Yeah, they did stop dragonaut cause Al was having monitor issues and walked off stage. He came back on a little pissed off, but he wasn't being a diva about it, Summonus were having montor problems too. Which is bound to happen when you put out as much ridiculous low end as they do. He just said sumthin like, "We've waited a long time to play down here, and we wanna make it right....where are the monitor people?!"
Which was piss funny, and cool.
Those stories remind me of this:

And for the record, the only lights on were red.
Hilarious. And awesome.

dase, Sydney had its fair share of bogans of doom, and a few vest-goobs as well. Some dude had a seizure right as they came on and landed on my wife's foot, but he was cool again and recovered ok.
I dunno about the set you saw, but Sydney was sweet.
Dopesmoker (from start to the end of Proceed the Weedian)
Sonic Titan
Holy Mountain
Dragonaut
Aquarian (yeah!:!!!:)
Antarticans Thawed (fuck yes!:doom:)
From Beyond (which segued seamlessly into my favorite part of...)
Dopesmoker (the cool leslie bit, which hops back into THAT FUCKING RIFF!!! and then the rest of the song)

I really don't want to go to a gig ever again. It will only lead to disappointment.

Yeah!

The internet tells me we had

Dopesmoker
Holy Mountain
Dragonaut
Aquarian
Nain's Baptism
Inside the Sun
The Druid
From Beyond
Proceeds the Weedian
Antarcticus Thawed

The extended From Beyond is like 55,000 times better live. Not only 'cause they jam, but also because you're front row center for the quiet/loud dynamic shift halfway through the song. Same with Holy Mountain. The record doesn't do that shit justice.

Anyone get their copy of the new Whores and listen to it yet? I got mine this morning and it sounds like absolute ass. No low end at all. It isn't my record player because I put on a few others and the low end is all there with them.

I just want to say thanks to the dudes who came out to our couple of out of town shows this weekend. it was great to finally meet ethan and john in person and always good to see darren. we had killer shows. sadly, wolvserpent got turned away at the border and couldn't play the vancouver show, but we still had a good time.

Just picked it up today. I listened to the pre-order tracks a few days ago and dug them. It's hard for me to look at it objectively because I loved Ruiner so much. I'll listen to it all now.

The digital download and streaming audio both sound great. The tone on the actual record fails in comparison.

Dunno. Looking at the record though there seems like there is nothing wrong with it. The grooves all look as deep as Ruiner is.
