Re: NFLILF Fantasy Football 2013 Edition
This was a bit of a rough week for me, but amnesiac has an awesome team. I don't feel any shame losing to Stafford, Gordon and Dez this week. We have a tie at the top now, this is gonna be a fun stretch run here.

His win/loss doesn't reflect how strong his team is... he should probably be in 1st place tbh.bigchiefbc wrote:This was a bit of a rough week for me, but amnesiac has an awesome team. I thought I had Marvin Jones with my #3, but then Amnesiac snatched him. He definitely doesn't need the help

Lamar Miller has looked really good tonight. Too bad he's on my bench

Re: NFLILF Fantasy Football 2013 Edition
Thanks for the props but I wouldn't concern yourself too much with my team. Historically, I have terrible luck in this ILF league. I have never made the playoffs. And yes...Lamar looked very good last night. Why they continue to split him with Thomas I don't understand.hollowhero wrote:His win/loss doesn't reflect how strong his team is... he should probably be in 1st place tbh.bigchiefbc wrote:This was a bit of a rough week for me, but amnesiac has an awesome team. So Cecil Shorts is looking a whole lot better now...
I'm kinda glad I don't have to count on the Jags anymore lol

Of course, when Peyton goes on Bye week and I have to start Dalton (who was 6th in the league for QBs leading up to this week) he crashes and burns. No TDs and 3 picks. And a safety. Fuck.

Yeah, I own Blackmon in my dynasty league, so that really sucked, because I was pretty much going for it this year. But it's not a total loss, since I can just keep him on my bench until next year.hollowhero wrote:So Cecil Shorts is looking a whole lot better now...

But for our league, I'm pretty pumped, because Shorts was great the first few weeks without Blackmon there.

If it's alcohol or weed he'll probably be back but if it coke or something, he's probably done.
I'm a Jags fan and this'll be the 4th first round receiver we've lost for drugs or booze.
That doesn't include the early "retirement" Jimmy Smith who just got 6yrs. because he can't stop smoking crack.

Re: NFLILF Fantasy Football 2013 Edition
i dont think it matters AT ALL if it was alcohol weed or caffeine. it demostrates a lack of self control and that is what the nfl front offices care about. and once you are out, you are out. period. a team might bring you into camp or preseason to try you out, but it's always a huge uphill battle.
just consider the massive string of wr's who fucked up their careers off the field when they could still play
if he has a great agent they will get him in rehab and on some kind of pr & image rebuilding campaign down the road and hopefully for him that will keep him from getting cut. fortunately he is still super young and has crazy ability
it's not just the lack of self control, maybe even more importantly these repeat offenders (for anything not just drugs) show to the teams in the nfl that football is not the most important thing to them

Re: NFLILF Fantasy Football 2013 Edition
Talent negates all of that. If he can play at a high level, he'll get another chance.
If Jacksonville cuts him there will be teams lining up to get 1st Rd, #1 receiver talent at a fraction of the price.
Just look at Ray Lewis, Mike Vick, Ndamukong Suh, Ray Buchanan, Pac Man etc.
If the NFL gave a shit about weed 1/2 the league would be suspended.
