So I reformatted my laptop today, and I'm setting it up purely for work and getting things done.

Looking for some good useful software recommendations. Cool stuff. Productivity stuff. Whatever.

If you don't have MS office and don't want to shovel out the money open office is just as good and is free.

Yeah. I'm planning on getting that. Notepad ++ also, which is the best text editor for coding that I have used.

These programs are awesome, and I've used most of them strictly on my work machines. Super useful for utilizing and freeing up space.

What constitutes work?

There's a streaming music website called songza that doesn't interrupt the music with ads--if I'm not near my record collection I'll just throw a playlist on and let it ride.
