i lost my job

they fired me after three days. i think it was because i am too dysfunctional to pick up the skills they wanted. now i'm truly terrified...i only have enough money for a couple of months and then i'm going to be homeless.i really don't know what on earth to do. please help me.

i'm afraid i'll lose my kitty. they don't have cat space in homeless shelters, you know. i only have enough money for a couple of months. nobody wanted my guitars, so i don't know what to sell.

temp agency is on the list. i'll be searching the classifieds. i'm going to try finding somewhere to stay with relatives or other kind people while my disability application is pending.

I have a cousin who went through the process. if your disability is still pending, you already have food stamps then? my cousin went through the pending phase for 5 or more months before he got the decision on disability. he was denied, but approved for SSI and gets like $700 a month for...ever, unless his condition changes. after three years his medicaid turns to medicare. with SSI he lost all most all of his food stamp allowance. all the best really, sorry about the joke. just trying to give you a laugh. all the best

you probably already know, but the more expenses you have the more they will give you. So if you're living with a relative make sure you let SS know how much the fixed amount you're paying for room and board and the portion of utilities you help pay....

what happened with the job exactly? don't be too hard on yourself, it may not be that you are too dysfunctional, it could be a variety of things and maybe it just wasn't the right job at the right place with the right people.
i know you're feeling terrible and pessimistic right now, but maybe in a couple of days you can feel a bit stronger and try to find something else?
you found that job and it didnt work out, but maybe the next one will.

You'll find something else, don't give up. It will probably be difficult, and suck for a while when you do start working again, if you haven't worked in a long time. That's to be expected; don't think you're too dysfunctional.

Hey, if you have a car and a pretty clean driving record you could deliver pizza. That's what I do. Apply in person and talk to the general manager. You might have to take a drug test, though, so, you know, lay off for a while before you apply, if that's potentially an issue for you, not that I know.
