Firearms anyone?

Post by THEBEERHAMMER »

I know at least one of you (BANDY) owns and shoots guns. I was wondering how many others are out there. There have to be some. Currently my rig consists of:
Beretta M9 - this is mostly for the car although i think i want to swap it out for an m&p 40 cal because the grip on the beretta is way too large for my dainty little hands.
Colt 1911 combat elite - i really love this pistol. Is well put together and has an action that feels so smooth when engaged. Finish isnt the best but it was only $1000.

Id like to purchase an AR15 within the next year but it could be problematic as im looking at LWRC or larue and good luck with that wait list.

I have a 22 rifle at my family's house upstate NY. There are some other larger guns there as well which I have used but which belong to other people in my family. You need to carry one if you go for a walk, as there is a mountain lion, and presumably a bear (I've seen signs of it but haven't seen the bear itself yet) living on our property. There used to be wolves and coyotes as well, but I think they were scared away by the mountain lion since I haven't seen them in a long time.

Remington 700 ADL .270 Winchester w/ Bushnell Buckmaster scope(Had for 12 years now, shot maybe a box of bullets at targets with it but I bowhunt so it's never seen the field)
Rem 870 Express 12 ga, and 2 20 ga of the same model
New England single shot .410 (first gun, got it when I was around 7)
Ruger 10/.22
A few bows, which see the majority of use.
All of mine are for hunting purposes, and if someone is stupid enough to break in the sound of a 12 gauge racking a shell into the chamber should be enough for them to run off.

I don't think I'd ever really care to own a gun
Unless I had a large property
Also the whole Canada thing
I am however going to a shooting range this weekend where I will be shooting a SKS rifle, S&W 15/22 rifle, 22 cal walther and mossberg 12 gauge shotgun
I'm pretty excited for it

My father owns several rifles, mostly bolt action .308's and and three or four .22's. and .177 varmint rifle that turns small cute critters into guts and paste.

I have my FAC and WIN card, but I'm too poor and it would be A BAD IDEA to own a gun. I have no where to keep it, and no where to shoot.

I love bolt action single shot for some reason.

i have some. a glock 23 (.40 cal), a colt 1908 (.380), a taurus snub nose .38 special, a bushmaster AR15, a bulgarian AK74 (5.45x39), a 12 ga browning pump shotgun, and a .30-30. i love shooting, but ammo's been so stupidly expensive recently when you can even find it that i haven't been going so much.

I just have a couple handguns; a Glock .40 (cus it makes me feel like Tommy Lee Jones in the Fugitive) and a SW .357 (cus it makes me feel like Chow Yun-Fat in Hard Boiled).

The SW is the most fun to shoot cus it is by far the LOUDEST FUCKING HANDGUN EVER!!! Makes all the rednecks stop and stare at the gun range, which is no mean feat; impressing a red neck with your choice of weaponry.

Although the 29 round clip in the Glock makes for some cool rapid fire single handed action; like Morpheus in the Matrix.

I'm way too influenced by action movies...

I used to own a rifle and pump-action shotgun, but got bored with those.

I do kinda miss my old double-barrel coachgun though.... Made me feel like Ash from Army of Darkness...

THIS ... IS MY ... BOOMSTICK!!!

heh.
