i have a really sweet shop vac for smallish tasks

same big motor, smaller housing. i always wanted to bolt some casters on the bottom of mine for pulling it around, but you know....

also, the smaller OD hose fits perfectly in alot of my power tools, so i can cut stuff and control alot more dust :!!!:

I need something easy to move with a hose so I can get to small places. Low noise is cool, long cable is cool. I don't wanna spend more than like $100? I think that's reasonable
I've owned a lot of sub-100/100$ vacuum cleaners.

Got a Dyson for Christmas last year; I never knew that my dog shed an entire dog so quickly. :joy:

You won't find a Dyson for that price but if you search woot.com and slickdeals.com regularly you might land a good price on one.

I have mostly hardwood, some linoleum and some carpet.
Our Dyson is killer.
Before that we had this little rechargeable dude. Think wifey got it at "maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time."

my wife and i had a vacuum from the 70's that lasted a really long time with some minor maintenance. it was a lot better than the hoover we got for christmas a few years back.

itt: vintage vacuums. no tubes.

Yeah! Just tried it out. Works OK enough. I don't think I care enough to buy anything nicer. I'll make my roommate do deep cleaning cause he has a dog
