Seinfeld: exactly one half dozen funny premises. Plus George Costanza.
SATC: exactly one giant NOPE to bearers of the Y chromosome. Plus a lame sex tape from the only eye candy in the cast.

Seinfeld is obviously better than SATC (not exactly a high bar afaic) but both of those shows have spawned more annoying fans than any other programming I can recall in (semi)recent history.

I'll still grant HBO a pass, because it's the best network on TV, Showtime a close second.
Monthly fee up front gets you quality original programming (save a few stinkers), movies that haven't been butchered for FCC compliance, and no obnoxious commercials wasting 16min of every hour while they insult your intelligence.

That's a winning formula, even if it produces a punch-yourself-in-the-head-to-drown-it-out series such as SATC...it's still the recipe that brought us Tales From The Crypt.

TFTC was an amazing series. I would buy the dvd's, but my cable provider puts it on demand every October. I love that most episodes have a different director. Don't forget, HBO also brought us The Chris Rock Show, Mr Show with Bob and David, and Oz

I've watched a few episodes of SATC. I did not like nor dislike. Its just a show I don't give a fuck about. I can understand the hate towards it though. It is just a show though, is somebody forcefully showing this show to you?

If possible, just say that you don't feel like watching the show and leave! Or take a nap. If it really is your "girlfriend" then she should not get upset about you fucking off and doing what you really want to do. Its a fucking TV show, don't ever let anyone force you to watch a fucking TV show you don't want to watch.
