Captive Bead Rings: Fuck Dis.

At what gauge would I need a tool for CBRs? I have some 10g ones I bought for my septum, but I'm having a REALLY hard time popping the ball back in. Any tips, or do I just need to buy a tool?

lol I know this problem too well as an ex body piercer. It takes time and skill to pop that fucker in. I never worked with anything less that 14g but the tool should work to only widen the ring. Good luck fitting the tool in the ring while its in your nose tho. You can widen with needle nose pliers. Just go slow, hold it on the tool, dont let it slide. You dont want iindentations on the ring. I always used fingers. Align one indent, and pop the other side in. Easier said than done, I know. Make sure the ring isnt too tight. The larger the ring, the easier it should be

Lol ive had "pros" slip and twist rings on fresh peircings trying to get balls in. More painful than the piercing itself. But yeah, if you really cant get it in, go ask a homie at a shop. Ive honestly spent an hour at the most trying to force balls. Its sucks yo. Horseshoes look cooler in septums anyway imo.
