Just a quick update. Sweetwater is still waiting to receive stock, so much for the 18th.

Stop bumping this thread! I know I'll be able to afford one soon, but I can't yet and the wait is killing me!

Hey All - 1st post! I ordered one of these bad boys (sunburst) from Sweetwater; I've been kinda floating in the ether on a delivery date. I'm hopeful for end of Sept. can't wait.
Good deals with / big ups to: RainbowsAreFree, blindrabbit (x2), K2000, LOCOPELAND & space6oy.

The burst isn't as hideous as it could be, I'm not revolted every time I look at it, which is a plus. It absolutely slays in jams though. Everything I thought it would be and more.

Standard cheapish tort, doesn't make me angry but I wasn't expecting vintage.

The pg looks kind of brownish and dull from every picture I've seen of it.
Yeah so much for Sweetwater

Profile I'd probably call a modern C-type - it's just comfortable is the thing. I'm not sure what to compare it to other than itself - it's not overly huge, it's just comfortable. It feels smaller when playing than the Mascis Jazzmaster in terms of thickness (width at nut seems about the same). It's a little deeper than my standard old Jazz Bass I think, but that could also be holding it differently for scale length and spacing.

Ooo yeah string spacing is another thing. Is the spacing similar to your jazzmaster?

A little wider, but close enough that a regular ebow works just fine with it.

The string spacing is one of my favorite aspects of my Bass VI. Perfectly comfortable for the guitar player making a switch to bass. Neck On mine is super comfy too, not too fat and not too thin but unsure how it compares to the Squier. One difference is my 7.25" fretboard radius, thinking Squier went with a 9.5".

They went with the 9.5, and I'm happy for that. Zero issues with anything.
